Have eaten many times over many years with various outcomes, but current management team is doing a great dim sum prep with a dynamite view of SF Bay and SF city along with myriad choices and a few surprises I enjoyed, like chicken knuckle cartilage fried bites, or steamed seasoned beef rib sections. Har Gow and steamed BBQ pork buns... More

This is a regular lunch spot. The Dim Sum is fresh, hot and well prepared. Service is good, sometimes great. You order off a menu and it comes fast. Side dished of noodles are very good. Order some great teas like po le. Dark and inky to cut some of the fat.

This is what I miss living in a city that has a very small Chinese population! My cousin's wedding reception was held here and then we came back for dim sum! If you want real deal good Chinese food, here it is! Of course, I am sure there are a few others also in the San Francisco area unlike where... More

This was truly one of the highlights of our Bay Area visit. We were staying with family in August for a wedding the night before and had to give it a try. The part we didn't look forward to was fighting the crowds. People come in droves to eat dim sum here. The wait was easily 40 minutes at 11:00... More

When people line up 45 minutes before the doors open for Dim Sum on the weekends, then, you know the food is good! The "foodies" from Asia have HKEO on radar as a Destination for great "New Chinese Food" - clue for us locals - as some of their Signature Dishes, can't be gotten elsewhere and others are behind the... We eat here whenever we are in the area and went early (10 am) on a Sunday. We were seated quickly and set to work checking out the dim sum choices. You do not order from carts here. An appetizer portion of roast duck is $7.95 and so moist and juicy, you may want seconds. A new item is truffle... More

We enjoyed the spectacular ocean view as we waited for our food. We missed the dim sum but dinner menu was excellent. I always wanted to try abalone and for the first time, I was able to find them on a menu and they were paired with my favorite jade green vegetables. We also ordered lemon chicken and beef medallions.... More

Pretty good Chinese food and good scenic location. Service was relatively prompt. My only issue is that they were not very good with refilling our water, although it did seem quite busy when we were there.

Chinese food. Try the Baby octopus with seaweeds -- yummy. The shrimp on toast is a bit dry. Long wait line, try and reserve early for tables by the window. place tends to get crowded and quite noisy. Come early on weekends, parking is limited. Fast service.

All my dining experiences at "Hong Kong's East Ocean are memorable and the food's consistently of gourmet quality, whether it be dim sum, dinner or wedding banquet. A definite plus is the scenic location overlooking both Bay and Golden Gate Bridge as well as the skyline of San Francisco. The service is also great.
