I recently visited Silva's Sheldon Inn to celebrate my Uncle's birthday. This warm and friendly establishment sits in the extremely small ranch town of Sheldon. It is wonderfully maintained, family friendly with the owners and staff always friendly and helpful. Dress up or dress down, all are welcome. You will always find a mix of attire which no one thinks... More

Great food and service, been there a few times, always great. Dinned in May. Very rustic, but comfortable. Would definitely go back.

I've been to Silva's on several occasions and I've never had anything I didn't like there. Food is great.....from the fantastic appetizers to the always rotating array of options of dessert. If you want a hearty home-cooked meal this is your place.

Everything that I have had at the Sheldon Inn has been wonderful. From fantastic appetizers to berry cobbler with ice cream. Some of the produce even is picked from the garden in back, when in season. It is a wonderful country setting in the small community of Sheldon, making the short drive (10 minutes) from Elk Grove that much more... More

Our group of eight arrived just after 7pm on a Friday night without reservations. It took about 10 minutes for a table to accommodate our group to be set up. While this restaurant is now on the edge of the Sacramento suburbs you must remember that this place used to be in the middle of nowhere 20+ years ago. It... More

This' family run ' restaurant gets our vote for a good dining experience. Just a note: They are only open for dinner (they open at 5pm) - their menu is pretty extensive with great variety. Service was great. I had the salmon and my husband at the rib-eye. Both meals were served either with soup or salad. Service was great.... More

A down home friendly atmosphere with one of the best chefs around. Friendly is an understatement. I've watched the staff take care of little ones so patrons can eat. Located in the bitty town of Sheldon, you don't expect to find one of the regions finest chefs serving up mouth watering recipes at reasonable prices. The chef and his wife... More

The food is interesting and tasty, service is very good and servers are friendly. The owners are often on the property. Family run, small town (but not hick). Nice dinner out for a couple or group.

Went with a colleague for dinner and had the sirloin. It was perfectly cooked and had a tremendous flavor. Had the bread pudding dessert which was also fabulous. Our service was great, and I appreciated getting such a fine meal in such a cozy, not stuffy atmosphere. Great experience!

My wife chose Silva's for our anniversary night out. We both had a grilled salmon, dressed with a tarragon-butter. Perfectly prepared. My wife had a peach cobbler, topped with vanilla bean ice cream, that she felt was superb. Our waitress provided great service without hovering. By the way, make it a point to try that Portuguese bean soup.
