We enjoyed our early dinner in this friendly restaurant. Best in these coastal regions to go for the fish and it was just fine.

Wonderful place for a relaxing dinner. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. On the slower side but worth the wait!

WE had a fresh salmon and a double pork chop. Both were excellent. All plates are accompanied by risotto and mixed vegetables. We shared a Caesar salad which was also good. We had the house wine and it was fine. Only thing I didn't care for was the country music, but that's just my personal preference.

Fabulous salmon: thick salmon steak, moist, with crushed pepper seared on both sides..the wife loved it; Seafood pasta for me: big shrimp, local rock cod chunks, scallops, and all kinds of herbs and spices to accompany a huge amount of delicious pasta...i could not finish the meal even though I loved it. Disliked the slowness of the prep time...but ya... More

I was not expecting such delicious, fresh and gourmet food from a Cafe in Elk, CA. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meals that my fiancé and I enjoyed here! We would definitely eat here again (and would also stay at the Inn). The seafood pasta was especially tasty - so fresh and flavorful.

We had dinner here both nights of our stay at the Greenwood Pier. After the first dinner, we wouldn't think of dining anywhere else. The meals were superb. We have dined at many fine restaurants throughout our travels over the years and this restaurant ranks with the best. The owner, Ace, is a great laid back host. I don't know... More

A wonderful restaurant with great food and atmosphere. A lovely wine list and great background music. All this and within walking distance of our room. Lovely!

The service may be a little sketchy, owners words, but the food was wonderful. We actually went back a second night we were so impressed. Very friendly, small restaurant. Owner has only had the place about 4 mos. when we were there. Good menu choices and excellently prepared. Definitely worth the wait. We had the fresh caught salmon both times... More

In the tiny hamlet of Elk, CA, approximately 4 hours up Highway 1 from the Bay (one of my favorite coastal "towns" to begin with), sits one of the best coastal dining experiences anywhere - In this small, cozy, windowy venue, The Greenwood Pier Café proprietor "Ace" pays attention to detail, and it pays off. From the delicious and broad... More

We stopped at the quirky Greenwood Pier Cafe on the spur of the moment while traveling north on CA-1. We had recently dined in some of the best northern California restaurants including Bottega, Morimoto, and Ad Hoc. The Pork Chops ar Greenwood stack up against these fine dining establishments and frankly, were better than almost anything we ate in those... More
