The Queen Rocks!

Great place to stop for a quick bite either for breakfast, lunch or anything in between (the roadhouse is open from 8.00 to 15.00). Conveniently located along California State Route 1 about half way between Mendocino and Manchester, it’s the perfect place for a nibble after a beach hike or spot of... read more

Stopped in for lunch. Seems to have a lot of character. But food and service were average. Wish I could've found something to rave about.

Can't say enough about Queenie's food and hospitality. Take the short but stunning drive from Mendocino and Little River (and stop to nab a picture of the haystacks) because you will be thanking me. Queenie is in the back doing the cooking, and she care about every plate she puts out. My favorite: wild rice and pecan waffle. On this... More

Stayed in Elk for a few days, and there are few choices for restaurants. Oh wait, one choice. Queenies came highly recommended. I would say that the food is good and you get a good amount. The staff is very friendly and service was prompt. We were able to eat breakfast on Sunday but it was closed on Monday and... More

For my 60th birthday, my husband and our best friends spent the week in Elk. Of course we heard about Queenie's Roadhouse Cafe as a must place to eat breakfast. We had two wonderful breakfasts and my favorite was the Eggs Benedict served on Sunday. The dish came with super potatoes (or fruit with yogurt dressing, you can't sop up... More

We had breakfast there. There are few choices for food in Elk. The food was very good but the prices are typical for the coast, expensive.

We got on the road early, had been driving for a few hours and we needed food. We had the good fortune of stopping at Queenie's. It's the kind of place where if you blink you might miss it. The holiday weekend and a big wedding in town had the tables full and the kitchen backed up. We were put... More

Grabbed a quick lunch at Queenies during a girl trip to Northern, CA. The green chili burger was awesome! my friends had the tuna melt and said the same. Up for dessert was the strawberry shortcake on a biscuit - yum! The service was great. Cute place.

When in the area ELK is a great choice for breakfast, I would go every day, but closed tue & wed, great service and daily and daily specials, weekends eggs benedict is good, corn beef hash/eggs is great too, open for lunch also, opposite cafe after is a trail down to the beach. Worth the stroll

Great local place with a lot of character It was almost full, but we got a seat, and the coffee came pretty quickly I had the Huevos Rancheros and my wife had a waffle with fruit and yoghurt They came without undue delay, and both were excellent Highly recommended
