Queenies Roadside Cafe, Elk (Greenwood) California. Excellent diner grub in an authentic roadside setting in downtown Elk, CA; with the potatoes, coffee and scones all done to perfection, expect all else to be the same.

We had our breakfast here and loved the place. Food is average but the service is awesome. We ordered three different kinds of food.

We stopped at Queenie's and had a great light lunch. I ordered a small salad and clam chowder. The salad was delicious, not the usual "ho-hum". My husband enjoyed the chicken and dumplings and we both loved the bread. Dessert was a blackberry tart, also delicious.

Food was average, staff friendly, reasonable prices for the northern coast. There was just nothing that said *spectacular*. Eggs were under seasoned, no pop in the "homemade" black beans, they were bland, but tasted fresh. I have stomach issues, and I had none after eating here, so that is a positive.

My husband and I split a chicken cutlet sandwich for lunch. We also got potato salad. All were excellent. A bit pricey.

Small café on the road serving breakfast and lunch daily. Not in the best repair and the waitresses weren't overly attentive. Food was OK, but not memorable. If you order the hamburger, ask for medium well minimally unless you want rare. It appeared they probably do a better job with breakfast dishes. Note the bathroom is a small out building... More

The BEST shrimp omelet! And the corned beef hash is homemade and terrific. Within walking distance of the Greenwood Pier Inn.

My friends and I (about 30 of us) took over this place yesterday while on a car rally. They took the over crowding in stride and provided excellent service and very fresh food. We were all impressed. Don't hesitate to visit!

The cafe was not busy but we waited over 45 minutes for food and had to ask for drinks when only half the order came. Food was ok but over priced. Waitress not exactly friendly. If you are in the area keep going through and go to Mendocino

I got the last bowl of their curry/chicken soup. Wow, it was delicious! Also got the pannini w/chicken, roasted bell peppers and gouda cheese..couldn't finish but had it for dinner later. Very good service. The place was packed so we were lucky to grab a seat.
