WE were staying next door at the Greenwood Pier Inn so it was convenient to walk next door for dinner. A good selection of adult beverages and the cooking was good. We highly recommend the chicken pot pie. The barley kale soup was a delightful surprise and the beet salad was a great combination of flavors.

Bridget Dolan's Pub is a quaint little restaurant in Elk, CA. The service was wonderful and the food very good. I had the Bangers and Mash which was very tasty. My wife had the fish and chips which was good. The hours of operation were somewhat frustrating, however, the food made up for this frustration.

First of all I'm surprised at the negative reviews here. True, it was not a five star restaurant, but it sure isn't anything close to a pub! Its more like a cafe thats very bright and charming. We had the spinach salad (which had the best dressing!) and the calamari (which was crispy) and came with a fabulous dipping sauce.... More

This was the only restaurant open on Sunday night so we didn't have a lot of choice. But we were pleasantly surprised. it's "pub grub" but the salads were outstanding! I'd recommend the Cottage Pie also. The service was good and this was just a nice little place in this small town.

The food was deeply mediocre and unimaginative. We were forced to eat here both nights of our trip due to car trouble and the second night was ridiculous. Apparently, no one on the Mendocino coast was aware that President's Day was a holiday, so BD's was the ONLY place open from Elk south for 30 miles. The hostess & head... More

It was pretty, but felt pubby. Food really good. We were able to feel alone, which we wanted, but noticed a comaraderie among the other guests. Very nice,.

Food here is not fancy, but it is consistently very good, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. The pub is convenient if you are staying in an Inn in town. We always dine here when staying in Elk when we want a really good, hearty meal without a long drive.

Nothing special here....if you packed your own food for the trip, eat it. The only real positive...the young Hispanic gal working the restaraunt and bar....she was very nice.

It was the only place in town open Tuesday and Wednesday but food was good and atmosphere was fun. The Barley and muchroom broth was a treat for vegan travellers.

Friendly, easy local place with good food at reasonable prices. Easy walk from the Elk Cove Inn. Take the shore path if it's daylight and the main road back if it's dark.
