This place has never been too busy to provide excellent service and high quality food for myself and my guests. It's a reasonably large place with hard working and capable staff, excellent food with spice levels to suit - don't go too hot here, they are not kidding around!

Stopped in at Indian Summer after a day at Santa Barbara and was impressed by the perfect blend of food quality and service. We arrived late (very close to closing time) but never felt like we were rushed and instead appeared like we were allowed to stay as long as we like. The hostess and owner appear to be relaxed... We were craving Indian food and were disappointed in the freshness of the buffet, The naan bread was hard and the tandori chicken was dry. The food seemed like it was prepared the day before. Sorry but we will not be back.

I tried this restaurant with my colleagues. We all loved the food and their services. The price is too reasonable. I loved the dessert kheer and gulab jamun. I am going there again and again.

Just two days ago we ordered atake out dinner from thsi place. When we showed up to pick up our order, the owner was extremely rude and dis-respectful. No smile, no thank you and no effort to make us want to come back. When we pointed out his rude behaviour, he began to argue with us as to why we thought he... More

Really nice small, whole in the wall resturant located in the heart of the downtown area. The service was really great, and the food was excellent. I am not a usually a big Indian food "kind of guy" but I have to tell you I really enjoyed this resturant. I would recommend for business or pleasure.

Their vegtable dishes are delicious always. Everything is good but being a lover of vegtables they are always tops for me here.

Wonderful service, wonderful food. We arrived early before the dinner crowd and had the place to ourselves. It was very romantic.

Small neighborhood restaurant, very casual and not fancy, but had a good sized crowd on a Tuesday evening. Ordered the aloo ghobi (potatoes with cauliflower) with rice, roti, and raita. Main dish does not come with rice, it's extra. The main course and rice were both pretty dry, not moist. I was a bit disappointed as I had read good... More

We have made a point to eat at Indian Summer each time we've been in California over the last 10 years. Each time has been a delight. This is the best Indian Food we've had in the United States -- bar none. The host (I think he may be the owner) remembers us from one year to the next, and... More
