We have driven past this place many times but never in the evening. Happened upon it while headed to a seafood place we frequent and they were able to seat us! Had great attentive service too. We had glasses of good wine, mine French and my husband's from Napa. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass and... More

My wife and I have been to this restaurant twice - first for our anniversary and again for her birthday. The seating in the back of the restaurant against the wall is traditional Moroccan style - you sit on a bed of pillows around a table. Very romantic experience. The food - exceptional - rabbit, pheasant, veal, - done in... More

We discovered Cafe Gibraltar years ago and have tried to visit each time we are in the Bay Area. (We live in Ohio). Since we discovered that Pacifica is only 7 miles from the airport, we make it a point to stay in the area our last night before catching a morning flight. The chef is amazing and the flavors... Cafe Gibralter has been consistent with it's excellent food from the day it opened. It is a favorite with locals as well as travelers. I won't recommend anything specific on the menu because everything is excellent. The atmosphere of the restaurant will take you straight to the Mediterranean. There are even some tables where you can sit around on pillows... More

...Wonderful and new Mediterranean cuisine. Chef Ugalde is inspired and will surprise you with each delightful bite. The whole experience, from the drive over the hill to being nestled in this little jewel of a cafe, is something we will do again and again; whenever we want to treat ourselves to a great night out. You might see something on... More

Some of the best food I've ever eaten, the local's treat it elegantly, and reservations are required any day of the week. It's the highest Zagat rated restaurant in the area. Jose` Luis Ugalde's Mediterranean dishes glow like that Sea itself. Any soup of the day, or appetizer or special, is well worth the adventure. Memorable dishes are his Seafood... More

This was my second dinner visit and I was not disappointed. The chef''s Mediterranean cuisine is authentic and satisfying. We started with the mezza platter which was large and delicious with the different flavors. The bread is great too. For dinner we had a beef and fish dish, both great. Like the small, casual atmosphere that gives you a relaxed... More

We were seated on time, had excellent service and all of our party rated this place a B+ or better. The food is very well prepared and very tasty and well priced. This is a must visit. We travelled an hour plus each way from Walnut Creek to visit and it was worth the time and effort. We arrived early... More

Lovely restaurant! Great service and DELICIOUS food. Seated next to pastry chef. Enjoyed watching her prepare the desserts. Also observed the chef preparing meals with patience and passion. Every entry was absolutely fantastic. The flavors were amazing. We plan to return to try out other dishes. Friendly staff. Quiet and nice ambiance. Definitely worth the drive.

We stopped here based on reviews on a scenic drive from San Francisco to Monterey, CA and we were not disappointed. The chef takes standard cuisine and ramps it up significantly. My granddaughter had a wonderful salad with grilled chicken, and I had an eggs benedict on crab cakes with avocado... which was outstanding (the Hollandaise was great !). We... More
