BBQ lunch with friends

I can't believe I forgot about this place. Really good beef dinner plate. I love the slaw. Lots of food for your money. High quality. Great service. Nice interior. Plenty of parking. Oh yeah and some of the best desserts you can find. Boysenberry pie, don't see that very often. A must try if you... read more

I stopped in to load up for the superbowl game with BBQ ham and pork ribs for the gang. Only about 6 people were in line buying mostly the terrific meal plates to eat right in the restaurant. The lady in front of me bought a bowl of split pea soup as a mid-afternoon snack. As you get to the... More

This place has been in the San Diego area for many years and has continued in popularity. The food is basic, the service is fast and the prices are reasonable. This is not a fancy place but it is comfortable. It is and feels like a neighborhood restaurant.

Things have not change here (except the prices) for the last thirty years. And I love that! Best BBQ (wet-style) ever! You want good beef, ribs (both types), chicken, pork, you go to the Barbeque Pit. Sauce is still excellent. Beans are the best. I only wish they still gave you the roll and butter when you order the #1... More

I love good BBQ this was just OK for me. I am not a fan of cold food. To me BBQ should be fresh and warm.

This place is great. The same family owns it that started the restaurant eons ago down by the beach. My grandma used to work at the original one in pacific beach and they still use her coleslaw recipe. I get the ham sandwich I've been eating this my whole life. This is a stop every time I come back to... More

This place was recommend by a friend.. It really isn't all that, pricy for sure and very out dated. Food was ok the best part was the BBQ sauce !

This place is great, I only wish it was opened on Sunday. I stop by at least monthly for their ribs, the pork sandwich was a little small and pricey, but the rib dinner is to die for. enjoy!
