I love this place.

This place is great. The same family owns it that started the restaurant eons ago down by the beach. My grandma used to work at the original one in pacific beach and they still use her coleslaw recipe. I get the ham sandwich I've been eating this my whole life. This is a stop every time I come... read more

This place was recommend by a friend.. It really isn't all that, pricy for sure and very out dated. Food was ok the best part was the BBQ sauce !

This place is great, I only wish it was opened on Sunday. I stop by at least monthly for their ribs, the pork sandwich was a little small and pricey, but the rib dinner is to die for. enjoy!

This is a great place for BBQ'ed BEEF RIBS. It's very hard to find a place that serves Beef Rids in the first place without costing an arm and a leg. Cooked to perfection regardless if it's not coming from a smoker, the favor was just as good. The sauce was just right and is basically a personal choice, I've... More

Beef was ho hum taste more like it came from a regular oven and not smoked. Sauce was too sweet. My wife had the ham and it was dry and hard to cut, again she did not care for the sauce either. I did like the Split Pea soup hard to come by these days in a restaurant

Great authentic North Texas BBQ. Been eating here since a kid, nothing changes and that's what I like!

Many years ago this restaurant had very good food. It's changed. The ribs taste to me like they've been sitting there for a while and the sauce is too sweet for my taste. Nice staff, though

The barbeque here is very good...it is tasty and filling. I believe it is an old family recipie. It is well worth the trip to El Cajon. And they do excellent catering for large parties during the summer
