Best breakfast in a long time

This place is now called The Whistle Stop, after Shengthon and Don sold it to a new couple. My wife and I went in on a chilly morning and sat next to the wood stove. It was nice. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the hash browns crispy on the outside, tender, not mushy on the inside. The bacon... read more

The food was tasty and creative. I enjoyed their pesto omelette. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Cute place in an historic district. Seems to be a hit with locals and visitors.

Great food, excellent coffee (it must be the world famous water), and perfect service. Would definitely eat here again.

It is sooo nice to have a place to go for breakfast and lunch in this area where I know whatever I order will be delicious; prepared and served with care by the owners themselves. I usually order the Country Breakfast when I'm there before noon and the Mountain Burger with grilled onions, fresh tomato, lettuce and cheese served on... More

Staff and service were amazing. We were a party of 13 and we were thrilled with our service from the moment we step foot in the place. The food was outstanding. A stellar dining experience

McGuire's, one of the newer restaurants in town has quickly found themselves a favorite place to eat. Breakfast and lunch cooked to order, nice portions, great prices, and in the middle of the historical town of Dunsmuir. Great option.

The pesto-veggie omelette just might be the best omelette I've ever had anywhere. Served with excellent hash browns, by the friendly owner. located in a cool old building that used to be a dime store. I wish I were there having breakfast right now.

You can rely on this restaurant for redefining all your coffee shop dishes. The owners insist on fresh ingredients. The pesto/veggie omelet is excellent. I also recommend the French Toast. The hash browns are delicious. McGuire's is easy to find, right on the main streetof Dunsmuir. Their hours are 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
