The food was ok, but nothing special. They are flexible with the orders though, so that's good. I understand we're in DHS, but for example, Thai Palms up the street is serving up some really taste dishes. The chips and salsa was good, and they brought us some hot green sauce when we asked for something spicier. It's inexpensive and... More

This is a great family run type restaurant. The food and the drinks are as good as is the value. It is our favorite place in Desert Hot Springs. Be sure to give South of The Boarder a try.

The food is amazing, their shrimp cocktails are really good and their deep fried cheesecake is to die for. I would reccomend anyone to come here.

True this place has been in desert Hot Springs forever......but so have lizards, and I wouldn't want to eat one of them. OK so it's not that bad, but it is a tourist trap. Small portions..I mean small. The plates are not deep and there is a reason for that. everything is small the taco's, burritos chile rellenos...everything. great place... More

Until yesterday, we were going to another Mexican restaurant in DHS and thought it was good, but this place Rocks! I had the Mojo de Ajo shrimp, and I can't say enough good things; flavor, freshness; I ate the whole thing! Service was a bit slow since it was Friday evening, but the food quality made up for that. Friendly... More

Not to be confused with the "on the border" chain restaurant. When entering, we immediately got bad vibes. The seating was uncomfortable. My paper menu was stained with food. As it is usual for Mexican restaurants, we were served chips and salsa, both of which were low on the ratings scale. The waitress ignored us, and served several customers who... More
