the breakfast was ok--not exceptional and when you eat there it takes a while to place an order and receive your food even when it's not real busy--I think it's more of a nighttime place as it was sort of faded looking but under soft lights it might be better

I stayed in Desert Hot Springs and had a night to myself before my boyfriend arrived in town. We had planned to go to Sidewinder for breakfast the next morning when he made it into town but I decided to check it out for dinner because there was not a whole lot to chose from in town. Let me say... More

The food was great and the staff wonderful. After a day in the hot sun, their food and drinks hit the spot.

Passing through Desert Hot Springs, wearing my 'Snake' shirt, saw this place. Serendipitous! Went in, menu did not really look 'Southwestern', but appearances are deceiving, it is the flair with how the food is prepared. I had a Taco Salad for lunch and was prepared for the usual generic offering. Boy, was I surprised! Meat (lots) was not greasy, lightly... More

This is a long established restaurant in Desert Hot Springs. Having said that, it is an old looking building. The food, especially breakfast, is very good. It is home cooking, nothing fancy. It is very reasonably priced.

If you are looking for good solid basic American fare, you just found it. Nothing special, just lots of down home cooking.

If your are in town. They serve good food reasonably priced. Definitely a townie place, old worn tables. But a fair meal.

We were nicely greeted and offered seats in the small but quaint bar area. It was around 4pm and it was understandably quiet. Our server proficiently prepared our drinks and came back often to see if we were ok. We ordered some good sliders and taquitos with guacamole. Everything was great!

The food is everyday American cooking, you will need to season it to your liking The place is old and in need of fixing up. There are hours when they are very busy that their service leaves something to be desired, when they are not so busy their service is good. (Maybe they should hire extra help for their busy... More
