Best place to eat in Palm Desert

This place is awesome, not pretentious or fancy. But good size portions and family style cooking. The Chicken Fried steak and home potatoes were to die for.

We had breakfast here. The specials all looked good. Excellent food prepared with care. Excellent service. Not the fawning phony kind but friendly and genuine. Nice atmosphere.

Fantastic authentic American breakfast experience - coffee with endless refills, proper hash browns, crispy bacon and eggs made to order. Love it here!

4 of us went to eat on a Monday. We decided to try the multi course special..around 20 dollars per couple. The salad, soinach ravioli appy, chicken marsala entree and bread pudding or rice pudding dessert were all wonderful and generous portions. The service was great snd the restaurant clean and cheerful We'll be back!

I visited and ate at the Sidewinder since I had heard it was remodeled and had a new menu. I observed minimal remodeling and a menu insert with some Japanese and Greek selections. Otherwise it was the same menu, same Sidewinder, and new wait staff which is difficult to rate as our waitress and my dining partner were quite familiar... More

The corn and cheese tamales are so delicious. The service and food is the best. The seafood selection is tasty and beautifully prepared. A family style restaurant with attentive and warm service.

I live on the Westside oF LA where a hamburger is $ 20+ and having a satisfying full meal of your choice at the Sidewinder is a treat, accompanying glass of wine $3.00? This is a budget restaurant w/ the full menu, all you could ever ask for.

Very rustic setting in Desert Hot Springs. Excellent food and great service. Chicken fried steak and corned beef hash were both really good. Endless cups of coffee. Would definitely go back.
