The food was delicious and the service was good. Service was very friendly, too. A definite thumbs up!

I LOVE their tacos, best thing there. Their burritos are really good also and they have a spot inside you can sit down at to eat in case you don't want to sit outside.

This restaurant is clean and the food and flavored margaritas are worth stopping for. My wife and I had lunch here. With all of the choices in the area for Mexican food, I can say we were not disappointed with this place.I had a burrito dinner and my wife had tacos. They offer a variety of meat choices and beverages.... More

Their varied flavored margaritas are sooo good, we had ours "virgin" and still they were good. Their diverse menu gives you plenty to choose from. The waiters are very nice and go out of their way to please you. Go there once in a while, we think you will enjoy yourself

This place has incredible history bc the owner is a retired matador. Service and food are very good.

We love the Matador. It is not a fancy place but the food is excellent and the wait staff extremely nice.

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but if you're hungry for Mexican food, this is a good choice in Desert Hot Springs.

When choosing which Mexican restaurant to patronize, it is a toss up for me between South of the Border and El Matador - owned buy brothers. The decor at El Matador is a bit more plain Jane but the food is abundant and tasty. Giving the venue an authentic flair is an outside walk up "taco" window which is quite... More

I felt like I was in Bride's Maids when they come up to the Brazilian restaurant! But the food was good and the inside was light and clean.
