Food was awesome. Especially the kabobs. Service is ok. Family run business. We went through a groupon deal but went back again another time as we'll

This used to be a place I would go once or twice a month. They had great food. My recent visit was perhaps the last one. Food was terrible. Place was HOT. Entertainment was ok.

For the quality of food and service that this restaurant provides, its prices are too high. The food is average and the service is okay. As a vegetarian, I did not have many options. I generally like the atmosphere, but if you want better Persian food, I think there are better places in San Diego to look for better quality... More

Alborz is in small mall just west of the I-5 so no "Del Mar View" - but the food is dependably good and service attentive. It's large but quiet enough for a business lunch - and can accomodate larger groups. Lunch plates are very large - so if you or a friend enjoys chicken, gyros or other meats, it's great... More

Our family visited this restaurant/nightclub on a Saturday night for a birthday. The atmosphere, decor and feel of the place is great. The entertainment was awesome. The guitarist as well as the belly dancers were professional, curteous, friendly and entertaining. However, the food was not up to par. The persian food didn't look or taste like persian food. We were... More

Love this little place - you don't expect it to be in a strip mall like it is - and I don't know what the evening crowd is like but they have a huge PA setup - must be interesting with belly dancing and music, etc. Besides that, the food is great and the plates are well-served and stocked. I... More

Fri. eve 8pm 12.7.12 My friend, who is from La Jolla and frequents Alborz took me here, we had a blast catching up (I am from Charleston, SC) and thoroughly enjoyed the other patrons, the service, the food, the belly dancing and the music! The place was packed but they gave us a wonderful table amid the Christmas parties, couples,... More

The food was not very appealing as well as the atmosphere. I had the Mousaka, the top was burnt and had very little flavor. Seemed expensive for what you got.

My business partner and I have been going to Alborz for the last 10 yrs. And, have seen it grow from a very small 12-15 table restaurant to 40+ tables. And, the reason is simple: it's family run with a great staff with low turnover. And, you get "too much" great food at a great price. I wind-up eating the... More

Alborz advertises itself as a Persian and Greek restaurant, but what they do best is Persian. The owners are Persian and they offer a great array of authentic Persian fare. The Salad-e shirazi (cucumber, tomato and onion salad) is fresh with lemon and a great way to start your appetite. The Maust Moosier (yoghurt with shallots) and the warm pita... More
