Nice variety of very filling sandwiches and subs. Very fresh and the sauce on the sandwiches is amazing. Limited seating, but not far from a park on 15th street overlooking the ocean. There was a line to order, but it moved quickly and the wait for our food was short. There was a separate line for those who had called... More

After traveling for several weeks we were craving for a light lunch - anything not fried. We stopped at Del Mar, looked at several restaurants' menus and decided this nondescript deli will do. When the place was full of locals we knew we were onto something good. All 3 of us had something different, bread was fresh, sandwich piled high... More

I had the turkado - turkey with avocado on wonderful bread. I would definitely eat there again. There is a line to order at the counter and seats both inside and out. The décor and seating area is a little rough around the edges but the staff was very nice. The sandwiches are very hearty - too much for me... More

Very busy at lunch but line moved fast. Baja chicken sandwich was unique - spicy but very good. Salads also good. Fun, youthful clientele. May be hard to find a table.

Will someone please tell me what the hype or big deal is about this place? It's a regular sandwich joint, if that. For the price of a sandwich, you do not get much in the way of meat (like the turkey that I ordered), just lots of fixings to make it look large. And the place is not particularly clean... More

Just a great place to have lunch. Has outdoor seating. Place was very busy but we received our sandwiches in about 5 minutes. The sandwiches are huge here. Had 2 different sandwiches and both were awesome. Make sure you try one with the special sauce. Lovely place in a lovely town

This place has KILLER sandwiches. Really awesome. I can't believe I've never been here before as I go to Del Mar all the time. It's actually quite a good sized place right on the main street of Camino del Mar. I went for my weekly lunch with one of my friends. He had actually been to another location before up... More

It pains me to give this place a three star review. The sandwiches were really quite good and the counter service was fast and efficient. All the reviews about the sandwiches are true! Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, absolutely delicious (and large) sandwiches, reasonable prices...all accurate. But unfortunately, when my husband and I went to wash our hands, we found ourselves... My daughter suggested we stop here for a quick bite. This place was packed with people from preadolescent to Great Grampas. The atmosphere was upbeat and the service was excellent. My daughter got the Baja Chicken Sandwich and I got the Turkey Avocado. We both got a side of savory sauce that worked well with both sandwiches. My biggest disappointment... More

The name is a little misleading. We have come to Del Mar for over 15 years and have driven by this place for 15 years and this was our first visit. It sounds like it is a bar but its not even close. It is Sandwich shop, period. Along the lines of a Togos, Subway, etc. but far superior. The... More
