Overall, the menu was great and the food good. The blue cheese soufflé with huckleberry compote was my favorite part of the meal. It was to die for. My wife's favorite part of her meal was her salad with some sort of white cheese and apple slices. She ordered the tenderloin which had a fabulous flavor, but was a bit... More

To start with...this dining experience was so good that we got a reservation to dine again before we left...only the second time we have done this in our dining history! You have to look at the menu to enjoy the endless opportunities for wonderful food. The menu changes daily. To start with the four of us had four separate starters...two... More

I have been going to Market since it opened - I would guess 5-10 years. It is the best restaurant in San Diego. The food varies depending on season, what fruit, veggies and meat are available. Chief Shroeder is fantastic at appetizers. Have eaten at top rated restaurant throughout the world and this is among the best in the world.... More

Not just the best restaurant in San Diego, but maybe the best restaurant in the U.S. Short rib was unbelievable. The best I've ever had. White bean soup was just as good. This place has to be on any "foodies" list.

We tried this restaurant about a month ago and would definitely go back there again. We found both the food and pricing very good and the service was also very professional.

This restaurant gets my #1 vote hands down. Undoubtedly the best beef tenderloin we have ever had in a restaurant and the duck confit was excellent. Interesting menu choices with varied ingredients, menu had a French flair. Pricey but I felt good value. Nice background music. The restaurant has an elegant understated ambience. I would definitely reserve a table so... More

One of the great meals we've ever had, and that includes The French Laundry and Per Se. The menu is imaginative and full of surprising combinations. Every detail of foon and service were superb!

We visited for restaurant week and were pleasantly surprised. First, I like the fact that the restaurant has a small bar, so if you wanted to dine solo you could probably do so. The food was delicious, so much so you wanted to finish every bite on your plate to savor all the flavor. Fit for foodies. The staff was... More

On first inspection, we were somewhat suspicious of the menu as the dishes looked over the top in their combination of ingredients and flavors. How wrong we were. There were two of us and we tried the tasting menu on the basis that if we each ordered the alternate on all the four courses, and shared, we should strike lucky.... More
