A really casual but really good restaurant. There is a Large outdoor patio and I found the staff are very friendly and helpful. The outdoor space was kind of loud night I was there. The meal was a bit salty, but very good. I had the arugula and white bean salad and the pork chop. The pork chop was particularly... More

Local ingredients with a perfect combination of flavors, like nothing else we've tried before. Nice views of the Pacific ocean from the patio. We come here every time we vacation from the North Bay, were great food and wine meet, Prep Kitchen is right up there too!

I love Prepkitchen! I have been here a few times now and plan to be back many more. I think what really sets Prepkitchen apart is the service. Each time the service is impeccable. They truly make you feel like they care about you and your experience. Parking is kind of a pain but that holds true for pretty much... More

Reviews looked promising and a local said fit for foodies. We were seated at the communal table which was a lot of fun and brought back first date flashbacks! Service was exceptional. All male wait staff this particular evening and lots of craft beer recommendations and debates. Food was well prepared and flavorful. Appetizer, entree and dessert all included for... More

My wife and I arrived at the restaurant at 4:40 pm on Saturday 9/12 for a 5:00 pm birthday celebration. We were seated in the outside patio. There were no other guests in the restaurant at this time. We were greeted immediately by our server who offered us beverages. We ordered and let her know we were there for dinner... More

Came for a mid-afternoon lunch/brunch on a Sunday during prime beach season in August. Since we came off-hours we were seated immediately at the railing on the outdoor patio. Very pleasant, we asked for some shade and got it. Our waiter was terrific, he told us to help ourselves to coffee from the self-serve, limitless coffee bar, and also muffins... More

Right on the main drag thru Del Mar, food was excellent, service was efficient and the waiter was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We sat outside, be prepared to bring your sunglasses if you are there shortly before sunset, the sun was very bright and there was lots of squinting! If you eat before 6:30, they have a special... Fresh menu, great choices. Try the beet salad....excellent. Our party of 4 shared a variety of menu items and we were all happy! If you're picky, choices are limited as everything is fresh. Bacon wrapped dates are awesome (if you don't eat bacon, ask them to take it off...they are still great!)

We had reservations and were seated promptly outdoors. I started with a glass of Cava which was dry and lightly sparkling and very refreshing. It was served in a special glass with a generous pour. Next we got the halibut fritto misto and the cutting board. We held off on ordering main courses to make sure we had plenty of... More

I've been here 7-8 times and it's never disappointing. Great food! Outstanding service! We take the dog too!
