very nice place with really good food. patatas bravas and the chicken are fantastic. good wine list (though not large) and a nice outside seating area with glass to keep out the road noise. won't break the bank.

My wife and I just found this restaurant. We had fantastic service from Dana and the meal was absolutely delicious. I had the beef tenderloin shoulder that was perfectly prepared to medium rare as I had requested. My wife had the homemade Tagliatelle pasta and she found it very delicious. She ordered dessert and I ordered a port. Dana comped... More

After reading good reviews about this place we were excited to try it out. Even we had reservations and tables were available the waitress let us wait for 15 minutes. No explanation why. Our salad was delicious. As main we got salmon and the tagliatelle. What a disappointment! Tiny, burned salmon, even the mushrooms were burned, all swimming in a... More

I don't enjoy writing bad reviews, but after visiting Prepkitchen last weekend for the first time I had a bad meal. I ordered pasta, which I felt was the best choice; not the case as it made my stomach really upset. I was disappointed paying over $90 for dinner for three, and walking away with an uneasy glut ache and... More

We went to Prep Kitchen for a leisurely brunch and were very happy - it exceed our expectations, really. We had mimosas, which were delicious. I had the poppysead pancakes and they were very tasty. My companion had the chiliquiles (sp?) and he loved them. We would certainly go here again.

3.5 Stars - not quite 4! Came here for Mother's Day cause we wanted a relaxed atmosphere and Prepkitchen delivered that. Service was awesome - friendly staff. Tasty food: chilaquiles, poppy seed pancakes, and chicken apple sausage. Not so tasty: donut holes (first batch was raw in the inside, burnt on the outside; second batch was just burnt - oil... More

Went there with my parents. We were seated outdoors in a covered patio area. It was very pleasant. Ordered fish tacos and they were very good. The corn tortillas were very tender and the fish was flaky and tasty. I enjoyed the jicama slaw and chipotle aioli on them. Iced tea was replenished often. Others ordered a meatloaf sandwich and... I like the food at Prep Kitchen, and have found it to be consistently good. The last time I went I had pappardelle, which was delicious. I ate there once for lunch, and had a hard time deciding what to order as several things sounded good. I ended up having the Cuban sandwich, which was quite good. They also have... More

The prep kitchen del mar is a neighborhood gem that serves great food with a friendly staff that makes you feel at home. The appetizers are very special and one could order two and a glass of wine and be very happy. The entrees are innovative and hearty and the FLAVORS are very satisfying. Great comfort food with a twist.... More

My husband and I ate at Prep Kitchen Del Mar on Sunday. The food was pretty disappointing and the menu, well - bizarre. One disappointment in particular I mentioned in a restaurant review got a return posting from the owner no less telling us to not come back if we didn't like it. Incredible.
