Trattoria Ponte Vecchio is a hidden gem in Del Mar. It is a cozy, quiet, authentic Italian restaurant right next to the Los Penasquitos lagoon at Torrey Pines Beach. The food is great and reasonably priced, and the service is good and friendly. They don't market themselves well (for example, don't update their website or use OpenTable) so they are... More

This is our go to place when we are in Del Mar, but they had an off night this time. I guess it's allowed. The best part was the eggplant parm. The worst was the 50 minute wait from ordering to food and then two of the dishes were not hot and got sent back. The reheat was good. The... More

We visited this with our out of town guests who had just returned from a trip to Italy. We were expecting terrific Italian food and great service. Our food was brought out just barely warm when it hit the table and that was after a very long 40 minute wait! Really? I hope it was just a one time thing... More

Went recently. Food was very good, reasonably priced. Wait staff was exceptional. The restaurant is a little close to the road, but we still really enjoyed our visit. Pastas are good, and so was pizza

We couldn't have been more pleased with our dinner at Trattoria Ponte Vecchio. This very unassuming restaurant just a stone's throw from Torrey Pines beach brought back fond memories of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany with it's cozy setting, great food and wine and excellent service. Who would have thought we would have amazing beach views while dining on Italian... More

This is as authentic Italian food as it gets. Even though it is a very small place and the decor is slightly dated, the food makes more than up for it. The portion size is appropriate and the prices are very reasonable.

Great local spot for great food with reasonable prices. We had 2 glasses of wine, a burrata and prosciutto appetizer, and entrees of chicken parm and chicken with gorgonzola cream sauce for $75. Both of us had leftovers. The chicken parm had 3 big pieces of lightly breaded chicken with fresh mozzerella. We were a little worried when we got... More

Call to get a reservation, as this is a popular with locals. Food is divine! Good wine list. Real Italian flavor in a very comfortable environment.

Dined here with friends the other night - first time ever, and it was wonderful. We each ordered something different and all were excellent. I had the rigatoni anditalian sausage in a tomato sauce, my spouse had Pasta with a tomato cheese sauce. Our friends had the special halibut and a seafood pasta. The Caesar salad was average, the house... More

wow. Talk about authentic italian. This place is so quaint, small and incredibly great. I had the pumpkin ravioli and it was amazing. Everyone at the table agreed that mine was the best. The chicken parm was amazing as well as the lasagna. Would go here time and time again.
