Great clam chowder, appetizers and fresh seafood galore. You can watch wide screen tv's of Football and the Race Track at the same time looking out over the bar or restaurant and watch the Races live. Good service and beers on tap. Place for a good time and great food.

Busy place on race nights, particularly Sat. However we were seated close to our reservation time. Clam chowder not real New England quality as my Bostonian taste buds are demanding, but pretty darn good for West Coast. Split lobster was good but slightly over cooked so some of the meat stuck to the shell. Kitchen was willing to smash the... More

Very busy place right near racetrack, so make a reservation and plan to park near beach or valet which isn't terribly expensive, $4. Great views, reasonable pricing actually. Fish tacos will never be a mistake if you can't decide! Enjoy!!!

We made plans to go to the Brigantine for Happy Hour. We sat at the bar and ordered some local craft beer and appetizers. The clam chowder was good. The panko breaded fried shrimp were a bit overdone so it was difficult to determine if it was actually panko breading and the shrimp were dry. The Brig fish tacos were... More

Visiting San Diego? Well Brigantine is one restaurant that should be on the bucket list. You can sit in the dining room, but everyone wants to be sitting in the bar, and watching the fair, the ocean. the racetrack or whatever is going on at the County Fairgrounds. An occasional train goes by to add to the activity. They recently... More

Recently remodeled, the restaurant now accommodates more tables with good views of the race track. The ambiance is obviously what you're paying for because the food was quite average (just a step above Denny's or I-Hop) as was the service. The chicken dish I ordered was lukewarm when it arrived and not very tasty. As for the dish my wife... More

My nephew works here so I let him guide me...good idea! I thought I was having my favorite - scallops, but he stated me off with a peppers, cheese, and bacon appetizer, which was quite yummy. The crab and lobster Cobb salad was awesome, and the clam chowder was good.

We sat on the patio and had fantastic views of the county fair, the mountains and the beach/ocean. You couldn't ask for more! The food was good - especially the fish tacos!!

Attentive service for good food served in an attractive atmosphere. Not quite up to the prices they charge but, hey, this is California. Accomodates young children in confortable high chairs.

A group of friends visited the Brigantine for Sunday Brunch. Melanie, our waitress, provided fast and courteous service and attended to all our needs. There is a fabulous view of the racetrack and a nearby lagoon. We ordered from the Brunch Menu with $3.00 (all you can drink) Champagne. WOW! The special of the day was Grilled Salmon with Risotto...
