How do you mess up a wedge with blue cheese?.Steak on the side of it was good, but wedge lacked taste. No bacon bits, no tomatoes, very bland, blue cheese tasted more like a ranch dressing. The rest of the people in the party did enjoy their food, though.

After suggestions from the ta forum we gave Jake's a try. First off, it is the best view bar none. Secondly, we parked across the street in a public lot that cost 10 bucks and got to the door and the valet was 5. I suggest valet. We were seated immediately. Our server was very helpful, and had a good... More

Jakes used to be great. Service stinks. Happy hour does not have enough to wait staff. We have moved on. This one time icon has been very disappointing.

We came here last week. The place was absolutely packed! We were able to find a couple spots at one of the large tables in the bar. What a busy place. They do have valet parking, but that looked extremely busy. We parked down the street and walked to the restaurant. The view is AMAZING!

We have been frequently Jakes for over 15 years. There food and service have always been fabulous. Beautiful views of the ocean and beach, good food and service have continued to bring us back. There have been some menu changes over the past few years that are disappointing. Two of our favorities, the beef Tornados and Crab Cakes have been... More

Perfect location ON the beach. Best at Sunset but they light up the ocean after dark and it's spectacular. Well presented food, good wine. Portions on smaller size but it leaves room for delicious deserts. Great for a special occasion. We were advised to go to Poseidon next door but we were glad we went to Jakes as it is... More

Jake's is one of those restaurants that you shouldn't miss if you are in Del Mar. I booked a table for us on Open Table and they were ready for us when we arrived. The host staff were great and even used my name! Unfortunately, our server was not the best we've ever had. We waited 20 minutes at our... More

Was in San Diego area for convention in March and went to Jake's with another couple. Beautiful location right on the beach.... saw a great sunset! Enjoyed a wonderful dinner, good wine, great food, and a great time! Highly recommended!
