As a transplanted NYC girl we are always on the hunt for good deli. I have eaten at miltons as least twenty times so I think I have given it enough consideration. The food overall is a poor excuse for deli. Brisket extremely dry. Pastrami and corned beef doesn't measure up. Twenty dollars for a dried out brisket sandwich and... More

We live in the area and have been wanting to try this restaurant, so we did and it was a big disappointment. The corned beef and pastrami sandwiches were dry and really tasteless and the Reuben sandwich was at best mediocre. The prices were way out of line for a restaurant in this area, let alone for a deli in... More

Three of us ate breakfast here. One had cinnamon raisin challah french toast with bacon, one had a cheese blintze and one had the lox, onion and egg omelette. Everything was very good. We really like the home fries. The only thing I was surprised about was the bagel, which did not seem like a true New York bagel which... More

Jewish deli's need to have edible jewish items. The sandwiches are just okay. Their knishes are terrible. Their kreplach and kishke are blaze and mushy matzo balls. I rate a Jewish deli on these items. It's tough to find a good Deli in San Diego. DZ Akin's is much better, but it's a long to go when you live on... More

We like the food but it was hard to enjoy. We were treated poorly and not very welcome with our kids. We had to ask for everything we got. We had to ask for drink refills even on our water. More bread since the one tiny loaf didn't even give each person in our party a slice of bread. We... More

I love Milton's and have for many years - if I'm craving a NY style pastrami or Reuben sandwich, I go to Milton's. The parking can be challenging but once you find a spot (there's a new parking garage under Whole Foods so it's much easier now), it will have been worth it. The food is so good and there... More

Was excited to try this place but was very disappointed. EXTREMELY expensive (50 for half sandwiches and a bowl of soup for the hubs) and a non-helpful gluten free menu with wait staff that were not very in the know. They did have the GF menu but it didn't list all parts of the name or sides and was really... More

Milton's has a huge and varied menu but nothing is really terrific. The fresh Challah brought to the table is delicious and gets one excited about the restaurant. But in reality the food is just ok. A corned beef reuben had tough, gristly meat. An omelette lacked flavor. Nice decor, pleasant service. Probably there are good go to items on... More

Great Deli/Diner food. Noisy and always busy. Food is very good and the cost is ok. Can be hard to park at times. Wait on Sunday can be long.

Milton's is essenially the only Jewish Deli in the San Diego area. Growing up in the Cleveland, Ohio area we had great expectations for our meal and were not dissapointed. Our service was good, the waiters during our two visits were attentive, but not overly so. The food was very generous, the deli sandwiches I had were overflowing with meat.... More
