(7/30/06) New Chef /Owner Carl Schroeder.. formely from the Arterra restaurant, has turned Black Horse grill into a winner... With a new name and renevation coming, his farm fresh american cusiene is nothing short of amazing. I highly reccomend this new dining experience. With Time Carl will turn this restaurant into one of the best in SanDiego. more

Made a reservation for a late Friday evening due to a late flight in. I asked up front if this would be a problem and was not told anything. Asked again before sitting down and was told they would serve us. Not the friendliest greeting, I should say. There were other diners who had just arrived so we did not... more
