Really awesome patio and firepit set up. Would return.

I only went to Il Fornaio for dessert and coffee but both were delicious and the waiter was outstanding. They have a big outdoor patio with a huge firepit so its really fun to go on a cool evening. I liked it so much I hope to return for dinner soon.

I get it that the waiter was from Italy and had an accent, but please be a good waiter, service was terrible. Buss boy saved him. Food was good

Sat outside at the wine bar area. Good happy hour pricing on appetizers and wines by the glass. The views are incredible though you are a few blocks from the beach, you are up high. Service was friendly if not a bit slow. Nice place for a few glasses of wine.

The range of options was wide ranging, The food was tasty and the service attentive and enjoyable. There were 10 of us who just showed up for lunch a variety of items were sampled from basic Italian to delectable sea food choices. Definitely worth a stop next time you are in Del Mar.

Signed myself and 9 other people up for a painting class. The original venue was a local Tavern in Del Mar, but last minute Fornaio, welcomed us in due to something going on with the Tavern. First off, their drinks were made poorly. The were way too expensive and the bartender was rude. He couldn't remember what the drinks were... More

When to II Fornaio for restaurant week. The visit was good overall but nothing so amazing that would make me want to go back. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but when I pay a lot I expect a lot and want to be amazed. The neat thing about their restaurant week menu is that the advertised price... More

Sunset happens every day across the globe but sunset from Enoteca Il Fornaio makes you want to live here and watch it every day. Sunset from Del Mar is the better version of a snowflake. Every one is different and leaves you with a warm feeling. Il Fornaio has a nightly happy hour to draw you in with excellent pizza... More

The staff and food of this restaurant are the very best. The prices are on the high-end and worth it. There is no better wait staff on the planet. For this reason alone I would go back. Larry Greenland Maple Valley, WA

Went here for a weeknight dinner for 2. GREAT service (from a waiter who had been with Il Fornaio for many years/multiple locations) -- good recommendations and high knowledge of the wine list. The menu is more authentic and creative than other Italian places in the area. Food was uniformly good (though serving size was a bit small on one... More

Went with friends to dinner, il Fornaio is usually a great bet for food and the ambience is usually good. Everything was great but the food. Soggy toast, lukewarm food. The staff seemed a little disoriented. Our server was good but couldn't gras the idea of getting the food to the table when it was prepared, when it sits it... More
