A very small restaurant with a bar side and a dining side. We do not like to dine in the bar and so we were seated in the restaurant side. George Bullington would role over in his grave if he knew what has become of his once wonderful local eatery. As a Del Mar local for forty years I am sad to report that the people, management,service and food that made Bullys famous are no longer there. What a shame.... more
We travel to Del Mar at least once a year and usually eat at Bully's twice during the week. We have always had great meals there and find the service to be fine. I was in Del Mar at the US Open and took some clients to Bully's. Having lived in San Diego for years, I figured Bully's would be a good choice with some local flavor. Service was indifferent, steaks were overcooked, prime rib was marginal, prices are now ridiculous. A big disappointment. What happened to Bullys? more

Bully's resturant is a great place to visit! They are famous for their prime rib (witch should be ordered rare). I have been there numerous times and have never had bad service and my steak is always cooked to perfection! After you eat, you should be ready to go on a stroll on the beach because the portions are large.... more
