Better days behind....

I love old school. Just not this old school. We went after some pool/hotel drinks and walked in because of my love of divey beachy places. We were shown to a VERY small table and looked over the menu, all the standard stuff like prime rib, surf and turf and steak. Dinner comes with soup or salad so... read more

Great food, drinks and service - what more could I need. Try the prime rib it is the house specialty - if you are really hungry they now offer a 40oz cut. A bit to big for me :)

My family descended on the north counties of San Diego for a family funeral, and the arrivals from around the country were late. We need to place for a dinner in the 9:30-10:30 pm time. Bully's was just the place. We were able to get a full menu and specialty drinks - mules and mojitos to order. We ordered soups,... More

Great little restaurant and bar. Great food. Staff were great. In the middle of the town center. Great prime rib.

We stopped at Bully's because I had done zero research about restaurants in Del Mar, we were hungry, and it looked cute from the outside. Once inside, I could tell it wasn't for us by a look at the menu and the clientele (everyone looked 80 or above). Perhaps we didn't order the right things---ribs, salmon, soup, salads, and filet.... Met three business associates here for lunch (their call on location) and ended up definitely wanting to come back! Sort of funky, dive-y interior with faux leather booth seats. Had the classic "Bully Burger" with fries and a beer on this lunch date but I think coming here for the classic martini & steak would be a really fun experience... More

My husband & I stopped in for a quick lunch while heading south. Hadn't been to Bully's in a long time. Sat in a red leathered booth facing the bar where we could watch sports on TV. Our server was excellent & attentive. We split a burger & fries- portion was plenty for the two of us. Hubby had a... More

My wife and I stopped there for lunch yesterday on our way to hike Torrey Pines. Had not been to Bully's in years but, I always remember it for terrific Bloody Mary's and delicious juicy burgers. We were not disappointed. We split the burger and the fries and it was just perfect. Our server (young Gent) was friendly and attentive... More

What a great little place outside of the tourist areas. The food was good, service was great and the price was totally reasonable. If you like Prime Rib... go on Monday!

I usually like to give decent reviews or just not write a review at all. However, I have felt compelled to break my own rule regarding this old fixture on Hwy 101 in Del Mar. If your idea of a good night out is going to an overpriced, burgundy vinyl decorated bar with a couple groping at the bar so... More
