The location is great on top of the building with almost floor to ceiling glass windows in the main dining area. Needless to day, the view of the ocean is fabulous. It would have been better had we dined during the day. Service was prompt, polite and professional. The sauteed greens I started with was too spicy for my taste... More

Flavor Del Mar and its sister wine bar, Sip has closed its doors for good according to a sign posted on the entrance door. Flavor opened with great fanfare with a high profile chef, a hip and trendy food and drink menu and a bustling and very loud bar scene. No reasons have been offered regarding the closings. I had... I would not eat here again, better food elsewhere for the price. Had dinner which tasted so so, looked nice, tasted blah. The atmosphere was hip and service exceptionally attentive. Amazing cocktails including the grapefruit cucumber. If it was just a bar, this place rocks, but their restaurant is not good.

Great drinks and appetizers on a Monday night. Waiter was also the bartender and was helpful. Lovely view overlooking the ocean. Flavor got busy closer to dinner hours. Comfy seating with contemporary decor. Cool blue lighting in bar area. Tuna tacos were tasty and crunchy. Pork sliders satisfied.

If for no other reason to go . . . drop by and munch on a side of their Duck Fat Fries. Insatiably yummy!!! Sure, they may not be “light and healthy,” but heck . . . Who really goes out on-the-town to eat healthy for a good time? Don't kid yourself by thinking that dining out is a healthy... More

The waiter was great, the appetizers were Fantastic with the exception of the "scrambled egg" appetizer. The eggs were runny and cheese tasted off. The main course across the entire table was horrible. The favor combinations were poor. The Miso glaze was horribly sweet, the beans under the Blackened Miso Cod were undercooked, my wife's steak was tough, stringy and... More

While walking by Flavor at lunch time on our visit to Del Mar, we noticed their happy hour prices and thought everything looked excellent. Everything was. I had the mint lemonade which was great although the St. Germaine's was a little sweet. My husband had the spiced tai which we both liked so much we bought the ingredients to make... More

Fun joint with great ambiance... I was disappointed with the food all the way around. Tried the lobster tempura and found it lacking in flavor. The spicy shrimp was a bit better tasting. I had the lobster, pea, bacon and mushroom pasta and found it overly loaded with mushrooms and also on the bland side. My husband had the strip... More

Granted, we were on a business trip so we could expense $50 towards the meal ... but the views and the food were so impressive it was a GREAT way to unwind from all the office politics. I don't know about you, but whenever my taste buds experience something totally new and novel, it's awesome. And you get that with... More

Had a table with an ocean view. The food was great, but the service was even better. A great experience!
