We had our first encounter with the Black Bear Diners in Grants Pass, Oregon, and it was so good, we decided to try it again. This was a great restaurant to eat. We had some great seafood and then some fantastic dessert. We learned about the difference between cobbler and pie - the peach cobbler was terrific. Shane was our... More

I like the fact they open at 6 AM for breakfast. Very friendly wait staff and average to good diner food.

Decent comfort food, if that's what you need. Prices are OK. Not much ambience, Just another chain restaurant.

The restaurant was just next door to the Best Western University Lodge, where I stayed, so it was very convenient to dine there after a busy day. They have American food, and dishes are large, but if you order a small portion, it's OK. Food is tasty.

Awful, especially the service. We arrived after 1:00 so the lunch crowd was gone. The restaurant was not very busy. We were a party of 7 and were seated in the back. I travel extensively and after visiting a Black Bear Diner in Klamath Falls just last week, we decided to one for lunch. We ordered the lunch special. The... More

My family of 4 are all smiling. Everyone's enjoying the meal. I would come back here again. We ate at a Reno black bear cafe years ago and loved it. We decided to try again. I'm glad we did.

When I visit my daughter we share a breakfast here. It is convenient to my hotel and the portions are so big that we are completely satisfied. This is not fancy food - its tasty, well prepared diner food. The mountain/bear themed dining room reminds me of places I ate at as a child when visiting places in the Rockies.

Very casual, crowded diner. Good service. Good food, large portions. Only con was that our corner booth table moved whenever anyone leaned on it, then the table made a loud creaking sound. Management definitely needs to fix or replace that table. Other than that it was fine. We would be back, but to a different table.
