The food at the Raya is Great, but it's hard to focus on your food with the gorgeous beach views. Service & food were great. I was vacationing for the first time to Orange County and I was just blown away by the view in this place. I recommend to try this place out ......sunset is my recommendation

Go there not for the food but the clear view of the Pacific Ocean. This restaurant is on the Ritz Carlton Dana Point lobby level. One entire restaurant wall is glass. Wherever you sit in this restaurant you view the spectacular ocean. Actually I don't remember what my husband or I ate!

Very good food and wine list. We enjoyed 2 small plates and one entrée for 2 people. We found the small plates menu the most interesting. Everything we tried was fantastic. The only downside was we had reservations asking for a table by a window in order to see the sunset and we were placed on the lower level, but... More

Beautiful sunset views, incredible food! The food is all 5-star with gorgeous, innovative presentations. Everything was bursting with flavor. We loved our experience! Our server had been there for 30 years, he was wonderful too!

great views! for being a hotel dining room, the food was excellent and, as usual at the Ritz, the service was spot-on.

Small plates were great. Try to dine right before sunset and ask for window seat, the view is fantastic! Deck bar around the corner great for pre dinner drinks.

Maybe not so great. In defense of the restaurant, we did have a large party - 12 folks to be exact. The waitress at times seemed a little overwhelmed. The seafood risotto was more like Chinese sticky rice, although those who ordered the fresh fish were more pleased with their selections. I guess that my expectations may have been a... More

I typically head straight to 180blu, but having arrived at the Ritz around 7 p.m. on a Friday, the area was swamped. After playing the hover around for a table game for a bit, knowing we had a group of 6, we ended up going to the lounge area. However, we had to move to the couch area outside of... More

We had a table overlooking Salt Creek Beach, and it was spectacular. The salad and entree we had were wonderful, too, so from an ambiance and food standpoint, it was incredible. A sticking point would be the $20 gin and tonic I had which seemed crazily priced. We ended up spending more money on this meal than for any other... More
