The Harbor Grill is a perennial standby at Dana Point Harbor and rightly so. Although the portions were a little small for my taste the quality was excellent. The server was very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. It was overall a very enjoyable meal. I had the distinct feeling that anything on their varied seafood menu would be excellent. We had... Had a great time. The escargot was great. My steak was fantasic, but the best the my party had was the pesto salmon.

A relaxing place near the Pacific Ocean. Sitting outside was perfect, the weather couldn't have been better. The food was delicious with several light fare options offered, such as salads, soups, and sandwiches. Although it is mainly seafood, there are options for the non-seafood palate. The service was slow, but who is in a hurry to leave the scenery.

Very consistent restaurant. Nice live piano music that adds to the casual/classy atmosphere. Never had a bad meal here. Outdoor patio available also. Enjoy your meal then walk around the harbor, beautiful!

We went based on Trip Advisor reviews and to be honest we found the food and experience to be nothing special. Nice piano music and the wine we had was lovely, but we found the atmosphere, service and food to be nothing special. But it was packed so other people must like it, maybe it was an off night .

This restaurant is like family to us. When we want to relax, listen to a live piano player and have a great drink and dinner......this is where we always know we will be happy. Maybe it is because they have had the same Chef Angel for over 20 years and many of the same servers! The tempura prawns are to... More

We craved a steak dinner but arrived too late for our original choice-Good Thing! We were directed to the Harbor Grill. It was a a hit. Friendly service and the best charbroiled prime rib-eye we've had in a long time and from a fish specialty restaurant. We could even watch the chefs cooking our and other people's dinners over a... We spent a few days in Dana Point and ate at the Harbor Grill twice. It was excellent both times. Service is friendly and prompt, food is delicious and prepared properly in a reasonable amount of time. Especially good are the scallops and sea bass. Also has a good wine list and delicious desserts.

This is a place we go often. Brunch, lunch or dinner we are never disappointed. It is not a gourmet restaurant ~ the flavors of the fish in the grill is wonderful! The ceviche is always my repeat, and the swordfish with tarragon butter is juicy and delicious. Try to seat in the enclosed patio as inside could get noisy.... More
