This was a Mexican favorite, however we were disappointed. The table side guacamole didn't have salt or pepper. We had to season it and ask for limes. I ordered sour cream enchiladas........they were nasty. My man ordered all you can eat tacos, but only liked the carne asada tacos the chicken was dry.

Took my family to dinner and it was really good! I had carne asada and wild Mexican shrimp and the flavors were very nice. Other family members had chicken caesar salad, the taco and enchilada combo, chicken taco plate and chicken enchilada plate. Everyone agreed the food was great and the chips and salsa were excellent. The cadillac margaritas were... More

We had a dinner here, food was in the average for quality and quantity. We had a veggie burrito, not very rich in beans actually, chicken fajitas (dish of the day) and a cheese quesadilla from the kids menu, not very tasteful. The waiter who has taken care of us was funny and friendly and has discounted the kid food... More

This restaurant is in a great location in Dana Point. It's fun to go there and walk around and enjoy the marina. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant is older and barely accessible. From the parking lot there is a narrow ramp on the left side up to the door. That allows you to avoid the stairs up, but not the... More

Thru window..good view of the marina. But otherwise just okay. Food was typical, meat and cheese American Mexican fare. Not impressed. Service was friendly but dreadfully slow. Would suggest margarita for happy hour.

El Torrito is a good chain offering Americanized Mexican food (lots of cheeses on your burritos, etc.) but this place has really disappointed me. I've loved El Torrito for years and the locations with the open window to the food prep area are really fun. This one is just ho-hum. It's dark inside and the food is average and upset... More

We had a view of all the boats and the water. The drinks were great. The food and atmosphere was fantastic. Very romantic we hadn't done that in awhile.

My wife and I arrived Friday June 27 at 11:45 for lunch, arriving just behind another couple who were seated. (The restaurant was not busy at that time.) When the hostess came back she said it would be a couple of minutes before she could seat us. As we waited several more groups came in and were told the same... More

Food is good - service is average. Person seating guests has a poor attitude and it's not a great way to welcome guests. Our individual server was attentive.

I would say the meal was average, but the service and the location (view of the harbor) make this a place you might want to visit. The restaurant has nightly special Monday-Friday, including several all you can eat. Check on what the special is for the day you want to go. If you are looking for an "authentic" Mexican meal...
