Excellent venue. Great food. Good service

Came here with some friends for a farewell meal. Great service despite being very full . Nice range of drinks and a good menu. I opted for the filet mignon medium. It was done perfectly. Everyone in our group cleared their plates. A very good sign . We sat around chatting and drinking for an hour... read more

we have eaten here before and let me say we were surprised at the fiascos we dealt with. ok- for the good news the food was excellent. I had the prime rib and the other meal was the tilapia (stuffed). the double berry Mule drink was awesome.. the pink drink whose name I forget but something like berry swinger... was... More

my husband and i came here for a special celebratory dinner for his promotion. first off, the setting and views are spectacular and make it feel very special. the food was very good - my husband's fish was much better than my steak, but my crab cake appetizer was one of the best things i've ever eaten in my life,... I will say the location is pretty amazing. You really need to go before dark because unless you sit outside or have a window table, you can't see anything at night. The restaurant itself is odd with really low ceilings and lots of dark wood and round rooms. Not sure what the decor is. The salad bar was a mess... More

We lucked into this. The sign says they open at 5PM, but they open the outdoor patio at 4:30 and the "natives" are there. Superb coconut shrimp (4) and excellent Eggrolls for about $5, Mango Mohitos for $6, and you can add their magnificent salad bar for $8.95. That's all you can eat anyway.

We are die-hard Chart House people. Since we were staying in Newport Beach we decided to have dinner at the Chart House in Dana Point. The location and views are breath-taking. The service was excellent....and that's the end of anything positive. I had the Chilean Sea Bass. Our other meal was the Prime Rib. The Chilean Sea Bas was less... More

To sit outside on a weekday during happy hour and then to have an entree and finish it off with a dessert in three hours tells it all. Relaxing and no rushing made this night. Best server we've had, Sarah, deserves a lot of kudos. Happy hour wines till 6:30 followed with entrees like the coconut shrimp and free range... More

Chart House is a good if predictable chain restaurant. What sets this one apart is the fabulous harbor view and outside dining option overlooking Dana Point Harbor. The best harbor view available. Good steaks and seafood.

Celebrating my birthday so excited. Sorry to say it is over rated and too expensive!! Went in the evening so missed the view of the marina below. Donavon was a very professional waiter. Hot bread was a nice start. I had the Best of Shrimp which was not worth $29. There were under ten medium sized shrimp. My husband had... More

The drive up the hill to Chart House at Dana Point, CA and the view from the restaurant were worth choosing this place. In addition, the service and food were outstanding.
