Went for ribs which were ok- didn't enjoy these as much as Chris Cram one man band (he is so much better than that description- check him out on Youtube). Enjoyed his sound and beer very much- serving staff very friendly- warm cosy atmosphere- nice older clientele- you can make friends here! I would go back- great experience in a... More

My friend and I did not go here for the food. We went for the music. Chris is usually there on Thursday nights. He is a one man band. He plays, sings, and will let you do karaoke. He takes requests, also. The place is small, but it was not crowded when we went and there is an outside patio.... More

Don't let the rough exterior fool you! This place has some of the best ribs around...period! Drop in to the bar or carry out!

If you're familiar with that phrase "don't judge a book by it's cover," it well applies to this place. It's basically a shack & when you walk in you might pause & wonder why you're there. But the food itself is delicious. I ordered a chicken n rib combo plate - 1/4 chicken (very moist), 3 pork ribs (great flavor)... More

We had heard about a place in Dana Point that made great ribs, and I'm fairly certain this was the place. It does not look like much, and we had some trepidations about staying once we were in the place. However, the salad bar was delicious and fresh, and the BBQ was truly outstanding. We ordered the Family Feast, which... More

This place doesn't look like much on the outside and is a locals-friendly bar hangout, but give it a chance and your tummy will be so glad you did! My husband had the brisket sandwich piled high with tender, moist meat on a house made bun with a house-made, delicious coleslaw. It was more than he could finish with sauces... More

A night out with my lady friend found us at the Rib Joint. We almost drove by, as there wasn't much curb appeal. However, I'm always up for an adventure, and this place did not disappoint. The place has a salad bar, the potato salad here is a bit on the spicy side. The coleslaw is very good, and well... More

This is the quintessential road house bbq place. I love it! The feeling is traveling coast hwy 50 years ago with a wood fireplace, big booths and a hillside back dropped patio. Great music and a bar that rivals the "local" bar you have at home. Delicious ribs and meats served with cornbread and a salad bar that most describe... More

OK... this is a little place. Old, but right on PCH. We ate there in the afternoon, so the restaurant was not busy, but there was a crowd at the bar. Locals, I presume. The baby back ribs were good and the service was excellent. Now, you can't compare this to an upscale restaurant because it is not. You'd probably... More

Well... We visited the place because of their advert saying "Best ribs i CA".... The bartender was nice and so was the beer - nothing else good to say about this place. We ordered Prime ribs - supposed to be the best on the menu and they were very rich and felt like chewing gum. Very poor indeed. Would never... More
