Weird...I have only heard great things about this restaurant for years and I thought the food was average and slightly bland. I ordered the scampi appetizer which sounded delicious but had no flavor and the shrimp were the small ones you see at a grocery store. I expected the large fresh ones like at a seafood restaurant. I had to... More

We dined here a year ago, and remembered a great meal. So, back in Dana Point, we returned and were not disappointed. Their pastas are fabulous, portion size is perfect, and prices reasonable. We love the cozy atmosphere of the library! All in all, one of our favorite restaurants in Southern California!

When we first ordered wine- the first two choices were out. Not to worry said the waiter. He brought an excellent choice and discounted the price! Spaghetti Bolonese was great as was my wife's chicken dish. Salads and soups were fresh and the Strawberry cheesecake was very good! Great service, good food and reasonable prices. We will be back soon!!

Five of us went for an early dinner, two of them under ten. The wine selection was excellent, the waiters professional but relaxed and amusing. We were a bit under-dressed for the while linen service in a cozy atmosphere but nobody batted an eye. Best lasagne in many a year for me, and we shared appetizers to drool for. The... More

Having driven past the place for years and said we must try it sometime, we did. Nice people, seated immediately, drinks served promptly, albeit a little amateurishly. Looking around this clearly is a place of repeat customers, who are comfortable and happy and like being recognized and recognizing each other. Unfortunately it just felt a bit tired, lackluster and old... More

You walk in feeling like you're an old Italian villa. The ambiance of Luciana's put you right into old Italy. Every dish I've had, I've walked away completely satisfied. You'll love their menu. And a full wine list that will not leave you wanting. Perfect spot for any occasion.
