Soup and Sandwiches - Very 'California Style

This restaurant is within walking distance to the hotel Ritz-Carlton. In fact, you can walk over with only crossing the street if you choose the pool exit of the hotel. We ordered three different sandwiches and soups. In California, fresh veggies are in abundance - it also appears that there are... read more

This cafe has an idea location between the St. Regis and Ritz Carlton and draws a large crowd on weekends and holidays. Unfortunately, the staff at this cafe is ill prepared to handle multiple orders, and quickly becomes overwhelmed, making mistakes on orders and forgetting simple things. After a long wait in line, I had to wait an additional 20... More

bread I would expect from a lower end supermarket. indifferent service, lacking freshness and would even use this bread to making stuffing for a turkey.

I ordered take out one morning and brought it back to our room at the St. Regis, but the food was not as good as the Fashion Island location. They gave us a cinnamon twist instead of the almond twist we ordered. The french omelette was great. Coffee was just OK.

nothing special & a terrible cappuccino were not the way to start the day in SoCal. The atmosphere felt dark & dirty, the food options exceptionally limited. I thought the cappuccinos would be great, but no. Undrinkable & a sad waste of my time.

Pain Du Monde is a small chain of four coffee shop/bistros located in Orange County. The one in Dana Point is a five minute walk from the Ritz-Carlton, and the food is very good. Both times I went, I was impressed with the quality of the food, and their coffee was tremendous. On both occasions, however, the service staff seemed... More

The breakfast and lunch selections are wonderful. Portions are generous and the wait staff are wonderful. We love this place and go often.

Pain Du Monde was our last meal before heading home on a recent trip, and I'm glad we stopped in. I like SoCal flavors, and PDM did a great job of melding together classic breakfast dishes with unique local flavors. There's plenty of healthy choices, as well as terrific pastries for something that's more grab-and-go. The coffee was also outstanding,... More

Pain du Monde is more than a good coffee shop. It is consistently good for great and healthy breakfasts and lunches. Pesto and eggs, omelettes, breakfast burritos and oatmeal are always good, and the sandwiches and wraps are delicious. Seating is indoors and outdoors, and they will bring your food and bus your table. Very convenient to both the Ritz... More

We (me, my wife, and kids aged 9 and 11) stopped by here for lunch on our way from LA to San Diego. My veggie sandwich on a croissant was simple and excellent - the spinach salad that came with it was dressed with a light but tasty French vinaigrette. My wife liked it too. My kids both had a...
