There is nothing to review. This placed closed in January 2014. Will re-open next year under new management run by Original Joe's.
The place is closed for major remodeling. End of story but I can say it was a hot spot. No telling how it will be after it reopens. But am sure it will never be the same
I ate there about a year ago and the food was ok. The portions are generous but I've had better Italian food elsewhere. The interior of the restaurant gives it a 50's/60's look and the seats/tables have shown their age. A cosmetic makeover is in order. They have been closed now for a couple months and I've heard of them... More
Always wonder about this place, so when I heard that it was closing. I dragged my family to eat there for the first and last time. We were disappointed, the price is too high yet the food.. sucks. Dennis restaurant has better quality food. The food does not taste for what Joe was charging, food presentation.. sloppy, burger was burn,... More
We love to go to Westlake Joe's. Saturday night was hopping only to find out from the cocktail waitress that they are closing at the end of January. I really hope they don't disappear completely and maybe its just a remodel. So many fond memories at this restaurant. Great employee's.
1950s type place, and very well maintained. Tuxedo clad waiters perform their jobs quite well and are interesting to observe. Stopped in for a late lunch of chicken piccata. The serving size was very generous and the food was delicious. I chose vegetables rather than ravioli or rigatoni. Very good bread too. There is a large and comfortable looking bar/lounge... More
This place was packed at 10 p.m. on a Friday night. They make homemade ravioli and it's yummy. I had chicken piccata and the portion was huge. I have to be honest though and say the service was NOT yummy at all. Our waiter was very scattered and I couldn't understand him.
I just love this place and am heartbroken that it's been sold after almost 60 years. The newspapers will say it's great since the family of a former co-owner has bought it, but they are going to close it for at least a year to remodel and many of the employees with 15, 20, 30 years there are out of... Yesterday, I had lunch with four of my close friends. Great place to meet and have a good lunch. There is no rush to finish eating. The open face roast beef was great. I could cut the meat with a spoon. If you know what to order, most of the food is very good.
