Great service always provided by the waitress. Quiet place for conversations, easy parking. Food is average. A male who answered the phone was weird. He did not say the name of the restaurant, he kept silent for seconds and said "HELLO". I thought I called the wrong number. When I asked him for the business hour, he said "what do... More

If you live in San Francisco and mention Burmese food everyone will say 'Burma Superstar.' While Burma Superstar is fantastic, you typically have to wait a long time to get a table. Burma Cafe is just as good but without the long lines and waiting. They have a wide selection of traditional Burmese dishes and the service is top notch.... More

I was shocked when I was told this place was to be the restaurant for my nephew's wedding-rehersal meal. I was thinking, "He chooses this hole-in-the-wall when he could go to any restaurant in San Francisco?" But the service was amazing, surpassed only by the great food. Everything we had was vegetarian. Some of it was very spicy, some not... More

This is my first taste of Burmese cuisine and it came out well. This nice small restaurant in Daly City has a wide variety on offer - tried the Kemar Platha (Burmese Empanada) to start with - and could have had only that.. it was absolutely delicious, went on to the Wan Gyi Doke with Prawn Curry - washed it... This was our first time to eat Burmese food & really enjoyed it! We tried an array of appetizers, soups, and entrees but of everything we really enjoyed the coconut chicken soup, the chicken Biriyani (with raisins, almonds, cardamom and cinnamon), and watermelon-kiwi lemonade. The atmosphere was clean and modern. The service was excellent. My husband doesn't generally like asian... More

I pulled into St. Francis Shopping Center to turn around, after going to LabCorp for blood work. I was ravenous since I had been fasting for the blood draw. After spotting a sign that said, "Dim Sum Specialists," I decided that might assauge my hunger pains. One look inside, at their pathetic offerings, shriveled and dried up, turned me off... More
