Thumbs up from a Brit

I have recently moved here and so have been on the hunt for a pub that offers me something familiar, a little taste of home. This place is close to perfect! The food is spot on I had a steak and kidney pie that was near enough perfect. The decorations are an absolute 100 percent replica of the pubs... read more

First and foremost, I love a Black and Tan! The Duke is one of a few places in the Silicon Valley where the staff don't look at your strange when you order one. The menu is very English Pub focused - personally I have a soft spot for their fish and chips (grew up it). The Bangers & Mash are... More

From the decor and menu, one expects a real British Pub experience. Our pies and bangers really weren't up to what one gets on a daily basis in London or Oxford. Beer selection is acceptable but not impressive. Overall ok but we've been to a lot better.

Was here for drinks, and dinner with some friends. The Pub, the ambience, the ales, and the food very English. It allows outdoor seating, however recommend sitting inside for the atmosphere to soak in.

I went here twice during my stay in Santa Clara. This is a great pub owned and managed by blokes from the UK. I met them and enjoyed talking to them. The food is great- especially the fish and chips. The staff is friendly and helpful. I'll stop in again the next time I am back in the area.

It happens mainly in small places with management that is not paying attention. A change in shift staff creates a negative climate. From warm and pub like to a cold and un-inciting place. In reading other reviews and seeing it happen i understand. First food was good, bar stocked well for a bar, limited scotch selection. Bar staffed by KIM... More

This place is a gem. I was in Cupertino for business and came here for meals every day. The staff are excellent, the range of single malts is superb and the food is divine. The characters you get here is what really makes the place. Never a dull moment!

When you walk in it looks like an old pub in the UK. Food is not fancy but is good with good portions. The have traditional pub fare, bangers and mash, fish n chips various pies as well as other less traditional food. Pare it with an ale from the tap and it makes for a filling lunch or dinner

The Duke offers a limited menu of British pub food and an extensive collection of brews as befits a decent pub. The food is good and is promptly served by attentive waiters. This is one of the few restaurants where I can find steak and kidney pie, not everyone's favorite but a dish that I like.
