Went for lunch, walked from Hilton garden inn. Good fish and chips. Good service. Four Brits at bar having a pint or two talking the "real" football, the World Cup I liked this place. Read reviews saying not authentic English pub, but felt like it to me, and better than many pubs I have been to in UK Check it... More

I love the large fat beer battered shrimp. The best as far as fried shrimp goes. The Fish & chips are also excellent. When I want to be bad this is the place I crave.

In San Jose on business, this little gem is right next door to The Hilton Garden City. Great little place to watch the game, have a draft and enjoy some pretty good fish and chips! Would definitely recommend.

Americans think this is authentic - it clearly isn't. The owner is stand offish and almost looks at you not wanting your custom, other bar staff are friendly enough. Yes some British pubs are old and in need of a refurbishment but this place takes it to the extreme. The food is ok and beers are fine though some are... More

We were going to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in San Jose so I checked out the area for places to eat and found The Duke of Edinburgh. It sounded like a fun place and looked OK on Google Earth. We went there at about 7pm and checked the menu, my husband had Cornish Pasty and veg, I had... More

This restaurant is walking distance from the Hilton Garden Inn. The food and service were OK. The booths were a little worn and the restaurant has been there forever, but it's a popular place for cocktails and dinner. For an English Pub, they also had Indian and Asian selections on the menu. I would recommend it.

Went in for just a snack. The bartender was either over-worked or just quite ready to keep organized. Looked over the menu and found sausage dish I liked. I passed on the meat pies and the shepherds pies; my bar seat mate's pie looked dry and the shepherds was made from beef instead of lamb. Left the place generally satisfied,... More

Feels like a neghborhood pub. Very friendly. Good food and wonderful layback attitude. They even had Fulton's ESB on tap!

Its purpose, for me at least, was a place to grab dinner that was close to the hotel. The food was typical, somewhat bland pub food. When I was there, people eating dinner were in the minority to the loud people at the bar. The pot pie only had the top crust, and the service seemed a little slow.

The Duke of Edinburgh is located within walking distance of both the Courtyard Marriott Cupertino and Hilton Garden Inn Cupertino and next to Cupertino Village shopping. It is an authentic English style pub with classic ambiance. The beer and the fish and chips are good and the prices are reasonable. The pub has an intimate feel and the patrons are... More
