Consistently Wonderful Italian Food

We have been eating at Fontana's for more than 30 years. It is our "go to" Italian restaurant because the food is always prepared to perfection, the portion sizes are substantial, the service is always great, the staff is always friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I don't understand why this place is popular. I think it is really expensive, and the food is totally underwhelming. I guess people just don't know great Italian food in the South Bay?? The wait staff is great, and there are white table cloths and all, but they decor isn't up to much, and the appetizers are really expensive for... More

Ambiance: Fontana's is well appointed, the furnishings are well maintained and reasonably comfortable. High ceilings are nice. The main dining area is somewhat large and barn-like, and when it gets full you'll find that it's not a very intimate restaurant. Comfortable but can be noisy. Also, parking can be a challenge. The restaurants' reasonably small lot fills very quickly, so... More

Food was amazing. Husband and had two meals here and it was excellent both times. The only slight blemish was that they were out of prosecco both times. Service is very fast which I like. The restaurant itself is elegant and is quiet enough to have a conversation.

The staff here was friendly and efficient, and the menu kind of has something for everyone, but the food is mediocre. There isn't much competition in Cupertino, which is maybe part of the problem. It might as well have been an Olive Garden as far as I was concerned. You'd be better off going to Cafe Torre, which is a... More

First time visiting this restaurant. It was a wonderful experience. Our server made the night for us. She was very knowledgeable about the menu but more than that she was funny and engaging. The restaurant is very lovely and felt upscale. The menu was superb! We enjoyed tender breaded calamari, colorful caprese salads, succulent scampi & pasta, and perfectly grilled... More

Have had the pleasure of eating here four times; a review is long overdue. Consistently great food, wine and service. Have sampled several dishes on the menu and have always been more than satisfied. The staff are fantastic & the location convenient. I always follow their recommendations on a wine.

Good friendly service, hot bread, nice wine selection.  I found the patio to be relaxing with a fountain.  Not crowded on a Friday afternoon.  They have enough umbrellas, so the sun isn't hot - just right.

My husband and I went here for date night. The ambience & service was great. We were able to take our own bottle of wine ($20 corkage fee) which I appreciated. So why the 3 stars? The food is average and expensive. I don't mind paying $$$$ for food, but then the quality should reflect the price. We had a... More

Me and my husband received a gift card to go here from his manager for our anniversary, it was as very nice place great food great atmosphere but a bit pricey. Would I go again , maybe if I could afford it. Plus we took our two small children along and it was great. Authentic Italian food
