Nice place to relax

Good friendly service, hot bread, nice wine selection.  I found the patio to be relaxing with a fountain.  Not crowded on a Friday afternoon.  They have enough umbrellas, so the sun isn't hot - just right.

My husband and I went here for date night. The ambience & service was great. We were able to take our own bottle of wine ($20 corkage fee) which I appreciated. So why the 3 stars? The food is average and expensive. I don't mind paying $$$$ for food, but then the quality should reflect the price. We had a... More

This is a lovely itialian restaurant , with very authentic italian food. There decor has a lovely old world charm complete with a fireplace and an amazing 3D art on one wall. The food is great and so is the wine collection. I really enjoyed the food, especially their lovely collection of desserts. I would definietly recommend this place. A... More

Loved the choice of food and wine - the brussels sprouts starter was a wonderful surprise!! the place was a little noisy, but the wine choice excellent - I guess we were unlucky with a server who acted like a frightened rabbit, I ordered a brandy but she didn't ask what type, ran off and brought something over, couldn't describe... Food here is authentically Italian, but lacks character. Was the usual fare and much pricier than one would expect for that type of food. Nice atmosphere and service.

I cannot tell you the number of times my wife and I have eaten at Fontana over the years. For some reason we forgot about them and had not been there in some time. On Sunday a group we belong to held their annual Holiday Party at this restaurant. Clearly Fontana’s has withstood the test-of-time in Cupertino which is to... More

Good service, quality food and great surroundings. Had dinner with another couple and we were able to actually have conversation. Dave was our server who we have known many years. Always great. Although pulled from the menu I was still able to get scalone. I was disappointed as I love it with risotto and they no longer offer any rice... More

Had dinner here to see if this was a good place to have a birthday dinner. We definitely wanted the birthday dinner at an Italian restaurant and preferred that the decor be more upscale than the traditional family style Italian restaurants. But most importantly, the food had to be good. Fontana's met all of our requirements: white tablecloth draped tables... More

I have always loved Fontana's. They have changed their menu, and, although my wife and guests enjoyed the meals they recently ordered, I was very disappointed in mine. I have ordered and really enjoyed the cappellini astice for about ten years now, and was pleased to see that it remained on the menu. I order it every time we eat... More
