Ok--but nothing special

Honey's is located in the trendy section of Culver City. It's quite small inside & while you can eat inside or outside it appeared to be doing most of it's business on take out. We ended up getting the family pack which cost around $30. The 8 pieces of chicken were large and we got a pint of slaw... read more

Nice people, great location. Food just doesn't taste fresh. I actually felt a bit queasy after eating the chicken.

As you know, freshness is everything in cooking, and we take great pride in using top quality ingredients and preparing everything to order. That's why your comments come as a bit of a shock to me, and I assure you that your experience is not the norm. I hope you'll give us a second chance at that first impression. Best,... More

I had read so much about this fried chicken and possibly my expectations were a bit high. I didn't like the service or the total meal. The chicken was good by the way but the rest was just simply ok!

No matter how high your expectations are, we want to exceed them, and I regret seeing that we weren't able to make that happen on your last visit. That's not the norm for us, and I'd really love a second chance. Hope you'll consider that next time you're in the neighborhood. Best, Honey's Kettle Team More

Waiting 25 minutes to get my order which is strips and Sandwich. And the bad thing is that they refilled the ice tea when they started preparing my order and give it to me warm without ice since ice was melted. They didn't even care to change my ice tea, they just gave me a cup full of ice if... More

I'm sorry that we left you with a less than perfect impression. As you know, we make everything fresh and from scratch, so the wait time can be a little longer at times, but we think the quality is very much worth it. As for the ice tea, this seems like a silly oversight and I apologize. I know that... More

I am not a real fan of fried chicken, to start. However...you MUST try this small restaurant! The biscuits are TO DIE FOR. The fried chicken is crisp and flavorful.Don't forget to top it off with a pecan pie after you finish off your side of INCREDIBLE mashed potatoes covered with chicken gravy and small chicken pieces. Did I say... More

Southern style fried chicken and spiced to perfection. If you like yours spicy they have their own hot sauce. I eat mine with the freshly baked biscuits and the butter pickles. I love friend chicken and I have it whenever I found it on the menu and this one is one of the best in LA. If I could I... More

The food was fantastic! The service was excellent. The friend chicken tasted just like mom made it! The side dishes were good too. Tip - don't forget to eat a piece of corn bread! You might be too full to eat desert but be sure to take something home (pound cake or sweet potato pie). They also serve homemade lemonade.... More

Just like mom made? We know that mom's cooking always holds a dear place in people's hearts, so that really means a lot. Also, we couldn't agree with you more -- never skip dessert! Hope to see you again soon. Best, Honey's Kettle Team More

I have visited a few times and normally get a chicken breast and pancakes but I prefer now to get the boneless breast. Less fuss is better for me. I love the way their chicken is fried, love the pancakes, and biscuits but haven't tried much else. A friend loves to ask for the little crunchy pieces from the fryer... More

Okay so I give this a very good rating. Why? basically all chicken places have a distinct flavor to their own. A special season or a deeper fry etc. This place tastes JUST like another chicken chain that has ONLY one location that I know of left. If you have ever had Golden Bird chicken then this is what it... More

I popped into HK this week after a movie, after having heard recommendations from a few people about how good it was. I was not impressed - with the food, the service, or the restaurant.
