UGO CULVER AUGUST 2015

The three of us had dinner here in August. We had three different dishes two pasta and one meat. all were very good. The wine was good but expected better for $45. Total meal was $106 for food and wine. Service was friendly but we had to remind them twice to bring parmesan cheese and twice to... read more

One star only for the service. I can start with the apetizer, calamari and arancini, both tasteless. Tagliatelle frutti di mare was over cooked and only tasted like butter, the pizza under cooked (almost raw). I sent the pizza back, and the new one that came was almost the same.

I went here and ordered the chocolate tulip. It looked great and was great. It was a little too big, but it's good if you want to share with someone. The gelato was also good, and the flavors all looked like they wold taste great. I went here for desserts, so I don't know what kind of food they had... More

went for sunday brunch. great seating outside and great atmosphere and decor inside. the egg and sausage pizza was delicious! so were all of the egg sandwiches and frittata the table ordered. staff were great. was not planning on it, but after being offered tastes of the gelato we had to go with the chocolate, the peanut butter crunch, and... THE. WORST. EXPERIENCE. My wife and I got there at 5:40pm. Though the restaurant was almost empty it took 20 minutes (6pm) for a waiter to take our order. Over the next 45 minutes we asked three times what had happened to our uncomplicated order (pizza, calamari). Each time (twice from the manager Ivan) "It's on its way". NOT!!! We... More

Worldwide acclaimed Neapolitan Pizza and we loved the pizza, the pasta dishes, and to die for desserts, best gelato, they will let you taste.. beware the flavors are all amazing! Scenic, fun outdoor dining and great service. Ala Carte will be pricey but this is a high end Italian upscale unique pizza, dining experience. From their take out menus~ Here... More

The food was passable/decent so a 2 out of 5 instead of a 1, but wow, what terrible service. No one was at the host stand so it took a bit before someone could seat us. It was then 10 minutes later before the waiter actually came to the table, and it was the guy who sat us! So not... More

The menu says they make their pizza exactly like Naples. And it's true. You can taste Italy in the Pizza. I was shocked. First time in LA to actually have that taste. Calimari was also very well done. Only con note was the waitress who I needed to wave out several times to get her to our table throughout the... More

I had lunch at Ugo Ristorante today. It promises to have Neapolitan pizza, and it was just that--delicious. We topped the lunch off with their calorie laden, super good ice cream. It was all great, as was the service.

My work team was meeting in Culver City and the organizers of the meeting chose Ugo for our group dinner. It was a good choice. We ordered some appetizers for the table. The calamari was wonderful. It was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. The bruschetta was very good. Pasta dominates the menu so most of us... More
