I finally made it to the Conservatory for Coffee after being told about how amazing it was by my son. And was it ever! Finally....truly fresh, delicious coffee that is roasted on the premises. Each drink was meticulously hand-crafted and the pastries were fantastic.

I will take the drive to go to this place. They have a parking lot in the back so it is easy to hop in and pick up a fresh, roasted brew with a colleague or friend. Warm ambience from the location and the staff, plus with outdoor seating in a cozy part of Culver. The price is hard to... More

My wife and I recently had read a local magazine about the best coffee shops in Los Angeles and were lamenting about not knowing of any local coffeeshop in Culver City. A quick internet search and we "discovered" The Conservatory. What a quaint place! It is a tiny cafe, nearly possible to walk right by, but the actually roast the... More

LA is full of surprises. This is one of them. Of course LA has its glam enclaves and charming communities but vast stretches are endless miles of low rent, temporal, one story retail outlets (recall characterless strip malls) that represent the rump-side of the American Dream. Well amongst those endless miles of retail is this eclectic yet charming and super... More

As others have said, nothing is better than their fresh roasted coffee. They have a broad selection and will brew any for you. I enjoy trying many and learning what I like. AJ will give you a lesson if you ask. Also, don't miss their iced coffee and pastries - sourced from one of the best bakeries in town.

I am one of those rare non-coffee drinkers - I just don't care for the taste of it. However, a visiting cousin discovered this place while visiting, raved about it to us and my family. My brother swears it is one of the best, as they roast and grind their own coffees. Over the years, whenever we have a visitor... More

Great coffee and pastries across from Sony pictures. Roasting their own beans as you sip great lattes and munch on hi cal goodies. Only thing missing is a pile of newspapers.

Conservatory in Culver City is a small family run business that not only serves organic coffee, but they also roast their own beans. Because I live close by, I get only enough to last for a few weeks at a time. They label the bags with the roasting date, so if you forget when you bought a bag, it's marked.... More

This little coffee shop is quite popular and often crowded. The coffee is quite good, but the baked goods are disappointing. The tables -- inside and out -- are usually full and are a bit too close together. All in all, I prefer Tomo and Balconi.

Great atmosphere and coffee. Lots of choice. Good people watching if you like the movie set.... They also sell hand made jewelry, knit scarves, their own t shirts and coffee cups.
