A decent restaurant

What a lovely surprise. I went to Helms District with a friend to show her around and she chose La Dijonaise. When i got the menu I was so pleasantly surprised by the lovely selection of food and prices. Since Santa Monica is so overpriced for so little I was genuinely smiling for once. The seared ahi tuna appetizer with avocado was exquisite, and their quiche Lorraine can't be beat! The desserts are scrumptious, and the ambiance open and welcoming. Best of all, the quality never varies: it's alwa top notch!

My husband and I stopped in here for lunch prior to furniture shopping. We arrived at 12:30 ( Saturday) and it was completely packed. We were lucky to be seated without a wait. The service was excellent. Our server was super friendly and even apologized for taking about five minutes to get to us, which we were not bothered at... More

The food was good and the outdoor seating was nice. The traffic on Washington Blvd was not an issue. The French place across from them could not accomodate our needs so we went here. My friends had a pasta and chicken entree and I had seafood. We shared and all the dishes were tasty. The desserts were also amazing and... More

I love this place for brunch. Great quiches and salads. The wait staff are informal but attentive. Food is always fresh. There is always a line at the entrance, but don't let that dissuade you. Seating is very fast. This is family friendly - kids definitely welcome. Lots of locals to be found.

The food was decent, the server so super rude to me and my party . Every table receives bread before your meal. We got nothing... i wont go back. I woundn't recommend either.

As a French person who recently moved to the neighborhood, I am very disappointed our cuisine is represented by such a not great place. It is not horrible, but food as no taste and has nothing to do with what we eat in france. Even the mustard is tasteless and does not come from france. And when you know there... More

The first thing I must point out about this place, is that all of the waiters and every single Person who works there is snooty rude and jerks. Me and my family were about to order. Then all of a sudden a waiter grabs away our menus and gives us different menus and says sorry it's dinner time. So now... More

Excellent restaurant, excellent food, although prices are a bit too high. 3 macaroons and a croque madame for 20.00. Good food, but a bit pricey. Will come back again though.

We were 4 in a party to celebrate Mothers' Day. After a wait of 30 minutes we were finally seated. It took another 15 minutes for our food to arrive, understandably because the place was busy. Not "packed", just busy. We had to return 2 of the dishes to the kitchen because they were overcooked, so that caused another 10... More
