Great food

It is noisy and crowded but the food is excellent, well-served and fairly priced. The black bean soup is the very best that I have ever eaten.

Upbeat place in Culver City for a going away party for co-worker. Allow the whole group to enjoy happy hour prices on the patio....needless to say a taste of everything ensued. Great drinks, friendly staff. Recommend

We stopped by K & D's for dinner after the farmer's market. There is patio seating with heaters and a parking structure around the corner. The service was quick. We had nachos and salsa, then taco combo's and beers. The food was good, but not special. It's really more LA trendy than traditional. The crowd seemed mostly 20 somethings. I... More

There is nothing authentic about the food here. The food is dressed up to look like it's Mexican cuisine, but it's all superficial. The positives -- decent sized portions, nice outdoor patio, reasonably priced drinks. The meat/chicken/fish is fresh and nothing is greasy. The negative -- bland, bland, bland, with a very canned tomato flavor to all of the sauces/salsas. I've eaten... More

I love this part of culver city because there are so many places to eat in this one area. I like this place because you can sit outdoors and even bring your pets. What I love most is the beef quesadilla with Portobello mushrooms. Very tasty

There's an extensive menu to choose from at this friendly neighborhood restaurant, however I really recommend the Blackened Salmon Tacos if you go at lunch time from the specials. It's pretty laid back, and really the worst thing I can say about Kay 'n Daves is that the service is occasionally hit and miss (which seems to be the issue... More

This is a good place for groups. I thought the food was okay. The waiter was terrific and handled our group really well (even though we were there late at night). I don't think the food itself really stood out but the waiter made up for it with the great attitude and service.

Stopped in to pick up lunch and they promptly seated us at the bar with chips n salsa. Service was attentive & friendly and the food was abundant & spicy. We had combo dinners where you choose 2 or 3 items with rice & beans. Rice was boring, needed a little tomato and some cumin! The black beans and the... More

I always judge a Mexican restaurant by its guac which was not good and not made fresh (so it has the weird stale flavor that makes you think it is going bad). The food was nothing special. cocktails were good. Probably would just go for chips/salsa and drinks but not food.

We went here a few weeks ago for the happy hour. The prices are really good, but you have to be sure to find a seat at the bar to get the happy hour prices. We ended up staying for hours, but spent a lot less than expected! We would for sure go back to Kay and Daves!
