The waitress was friendly and our breakfast was great. We will return if in the area. Local place with hometown energy. Casual and laid back.

Have been twice. Will not return. A bunch of stuffed animals surround the interior. It's not cozy and the food?...Sub par. It's more like a Denny's and there's many more places to choose from that have incredible food such as The Bear House or Crestline cafe. Very disappointed.

Billy Bear's sirves good size portions, but the plates could be slightly larger. I have to pay attention, lest my food leave my plate while I am cutting my meat. It is necessary to ask for a tea spoon to stir your coffie as they don't set one out with your place setting. Also, unlike some other Crestline eateries, they... More

We ate breakfast here on a stormy morning. The place as decorated with lots of miscellaneous holiday trinkets. there was also a bunch of what looked like donated or collected holiday gifts and toys stacked up on a table and a center island area. This didn't bother me and I just assumed they were collecting gifts for those less fortunate.... More

The food was good, but the seating in the booth we used was in need of repair. We both enjoyed the breakfast we ordered, a veggie omelet and the country breakfast. The food was well prepared and very tasty.

While visitors are welcomed with open arms, this is a place where local regulars are welcomed as family. The food is good, the helpings are large and reasonably priced, and the menu is much more “Down Home” than “Pacific Cuisine”.

While visiting Crestline, we had dinner one evening, and breakfast the next morning at Billy Bear's. The food was excellent on both occasions. The breakfasts are huge -- delicious biscuits and gravy, country potatoes, and eggs cooked perfectly. The next time we get to Crestline this charming little restaurant will be at the top of our list of places to... More

The eggs tasted a lil fishy as if cooked next to fish on grill. It was bland but not hateful. The pancakes were light and fluffy though.

Both food and service there have taken a dive over the years. I'd rather go to the Bear House formerly known as The Loose Caboose.
