Always great service and awesome food. I've been eating here since the 60's and it has retained its quality and ambience.

Some of the best scollops around not to mention their delicious salads and scrumptious cheese bread. I used to eat here regularly 20 years ago and I have to tell you that they are just as good now as they were then. Yum...Yum!

I have been coming here since I was very little. It's a tradition. The food has always been fantastic. You can't beat their delicious all you can eat cheese bread, slaw and sweet cabbage salads. My favorite is the Porterhouse steak. It is gigantic! The prices can be a little high, but it is totally worth it. You rarely leave... More

Yup! Surprised me when a couple of colleagues took me here for lunch. The bear jn the glass case was a little over the top but the service, food, and atmosphere were cool. The cheese bread is delicious and the portions very nice. Our service was excellent. The place is really dark - no windows and dim lighting. Peanut shells... More

Love the coziness of the "snow covered" rooftop outiede and the uniqueness of the inside with the big bear and log walls. The food is excellent although shockingly high for lunch. But that's easily th only meal consumed that day as the portions are significant. It's dark in there...just an FYI...no external lighting. Very good and service is always spot... More

Five of us all had excellent lunches here. Food was great, our server was superb and the portions were huge. I had the chef's salad and it could have easily fed three of us; I'm not kidding. The server said he's only seen one person finish it all, not a sight I'd care to experience! Our only very minor complaint... More

When my hubby and I were dating almost 44 years ago, we happened upon North Woods Inn in Covina. We fell in love with it so much there were a few times we ate lunch there and then dinner also. It was my first time eating at a restaurant that actually encouraged you to throw stuff on the floor -... More

Stopped here for dinner on a spur of the moment. Timing was right because there was no wait. Its all very rustically decorated. Nice bar area . A little dark when coming in from outside and bright sunshine. Large dining room and very attentive waitstaff. We each ordered a Lumberjack steak, which is a 9 or 13 oz sirloin .... More

We came here through recommendations from friends. Ample parking at the back and it's a great looking building. Going inside, however, it was so dark with no windows, overhead lamps on low, and glowing orange wall lights. Atmospheric perhaps but when one needs a flashlight in order to read the menu, it's too dark! Fortunately we were seated quickly without... More
