Are here for dinner. Nice modern decor. Difficult to find in such a large mall. Some what of a limited dinner. I loved the ginger salad dressing and spicy tuna rolls. Would have preferred a larger sushi roll selection. I only saw five in the menu. I would eat here again!

The calamari was like eating rubber. The sushi was disgusting. The shrimp tempura was not fresh and was mushi. All in all it was a disaster. Avoid at all costs!!

We came here for Father's day dinner, a day before Father's day. It wasn't crowded but we made reservations, got seated right away. My brother and sister in law have been here once before and liked it so we gave it a try. I don't eat seafood, so my choices were limited, however I did get the Nabeyaki Udon which... More

I was traveling on business and joined a friend, who is a bit if a foodie, for dinner. I'm so happy she picked Hamamori. The space had a cool vibe with white furniture. We sat at the sushi bar and let the chef select for us. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. I can't wait to return.

I rarely rate a restaurant excellent, but the food here is just that. We had the blue crab rolls, spicy tuna rolls and vegetable and shrimp tempura. Located in South Coast Plaza shopping center in Costa Mesa. Crystal court building. First time, try happy hour.

I was invited by some Japanese friends and I found it strange to eat in a mall, but when I got my order I understood that this is a real Japanese restaurant, not one of those commercial fakes. Quality was absolutely great and so was the service, white impeccable table clothes and napkins accompanied the food and the ambience was... More

Hamamori's is the number one Japanese dining experience in Orange County, possibly Southern California. James Hamamori is from Okinawa where longevity is legendary and researchers say it could be the food. I've also read that their respect for each other and the reverence for their elder's wisdom attributes to their health. I believe that James has brought this wisdom to... More

We enjoyed a great experience at Hamamori. The sushi was fresh and delicious. We all left quite full and very satisfied. The cost was very reasonable too. The elegant atmosphere makes this a very special occasion restaurant.

This is NOT mall food. Elegance sums up my experience. Great service. Great food and new and exciting offerings on the menu. I enjoyed all of the new sushi options. They also steamed some veggies for me that were not listed on the menu. If you are in the area and want sushi then go here. Even if you go... More
