I can't give this place a bad review rating because the Gringos love it so much. They really think its authentic Mexican food but its nothing special. Everyone in Costa Mesa will tell you that this place is their hole in the wall. King Taco puts this place to shame.

We have been coming to this eatery for years, and...the food is always great. It is an old, converted fast-food place so the interior is nothing to write home about. It's all about THE food...!! The food selection has been written up in numerous local newspapers and publications. Check out the Specials. They always have several for both lunch and... More

The food was fresh. The condiments were very good. I had the shrimp taco it was okay, my friend had the Mesa burrito, also pretty okay. I have had better shrimp tacos and burritos. Service was fast and friendly. I was not looking for anything fancy so this place fits the bill.

Be thankful that this is technically fast food, because the line can be long; but well worth the wait. I'm partial to their tacos and the soup of the day, but I can honestly say that I've never had a disappointing meal here. Not only is the food reasonable, the staff is friendly and helpful. Stop by and discover a... More

This was good Mexican. But the #3 restaurant in all of Costa Mesa? Doubtful. It was pretty tasty food, and relatively inexpensive. Give it a try, but not just because its way up the list.

We stopped by for dinner after an exhausting day and we were surprised at the friendly atmosphere. The menu is incredibly vast for such a tiny place and the food was excellent. There is no place to eat inside (other than a small bar type table). We sat outside and we had a nice time.

This place has been here for decades now. The food is great with a lot of choices. The decor has gotten better over the years with more comfortable seating. Very informal (was built in an old Taco Bell building) but the food is worth stopping here.

There food is excellent. Service is fast and efficient. They even have an outdoor seating area under roof. All of the food here is excellent. if you want a more posh environment, go to Taco Rosa in Newport -- same owners -- which has excellent food and more variety.

If all the old Taco Bells get converted to Taco Mesa's we can call that real progress! Lots of good taco stands in SoCal but this one is yop tier. Beer ain't cheap here but hard to complain or go hungry here.
