Awesome Spot for Tacos

Was craving some street style tacos with pickled carrots and jalapenos and found this place. The salsa bar has everything from pickled carrots and jalapenos to lime pico de gallo and radishes. The tacos were flavorful. Not much more you could ask for.

SUPER cheap tacos on Taco Tuesday. Al Pastor is insanely good. Churros con chocolate. Pardon me, I'm drooling all over myself. There's a reason this place usually has a line out the door. Get here early, or be prepared to wait a while. It's worth it.

Oh my gosh, we all had something different. I especially liked the lobster burrito. Everything is so fresh and seasoned to perfection. Don't forget to order the flan for desert.

We have been going to Taco Mesa for some 20+ years. Actually, the present owner and his brother were still doing the "cooking" when we first started frequenting Taco Mesa. Lots of things have changed since then...including the menu, which has been upgraded with lots of Daily Specials. However, Taco Mesa is still Taco Mesa....that "pink", ex-fast food place on... More

This was one of our favorite spots in OC. Enjoyed their unique , great Mexican food through the years.Sad to report times have changed. The food is no longer topnotch, and at the same time, the portions have shrunk. Not a good combination.

Come for the authentic Mexican food, which is often organic, often no GMO's; always fresh & fabulous flavors! Return to try the dishes you couldn't decide on your last visit!

The burritos are super good, but the place is old and not too much on the clean side. I used to go a lot more often, but now I slowed down a bit as a result of the area being frequented by the sketchy looking fox.

Who would have thought that an old Taco Bell restaurant could be "recycled" into one of the best Mexican eateries in Costa Mesa??!! This place is deceiving at first sight as just a typical fast food joint and not much more…..Taco Mesa has a unique approach to everything they serve and always add an unexpected twist on the old standards;... Not fancy, no ambience at all, just simply the most creative , tasty food in SoCal.I always order the shrimp quesadilla , a perfect combination of fresh grilled shrimp , top notch cheese on either a whole wheat or wheat tortilla. Our family loves the tacos, my wife is addicted to their breakfast quesadilla. They offer 3 distinct salsas, all... More
