Description: If it's delicious BBQ, in a dinner house that knows more than just great BBQ, Newport Rib Company is your place. Comfortable booths, a great bar with sports on the TV, and a staff so friendly you'll think that you’re part of the family...and you are. This local landmark has been serving BBQ’d specialties for over 25 years; slow roasted tri-tip, Prime rib, juicy steaks, stiff martini's and great salads all add up to a first-rate experience without the first-rate price. Come and find out why this family-owned business has become a MUST-have when visiting the Orange County area. Try the onion brick or the grilled artichoke for appetizers, the BBQ’d chopped tri-tip or chicken salad is a health conscious favorite, but the meat is center stage at this one of a kind Costa Mesa institution. Take-out, catering from 25 to 2500 guests, a banquet room which seats 80, large comfortable booths, and an environment that caters to our guests no matter if regulars or soon to be’s.

No longer in Newport. They moved to Costa Mesa about 30 years ago! Many of us locals have been going for about that long and now our children go there. A traditional barbecue place with generous portions. Family friendly atmosphere, a bar and now plenty of TVs so you won't miss any sports. All at very reasonable prices. The brick... More

Been here three times now in the last several years. Once a dine-in and the other two take-out. The ribs are always cooked to perfection, the sides are very tasty and everything is wonderful. Staff is super attentive and friendly (sat at the bar when we ate in), but even the take-out staff is very friendly. The small parking lot... More

We love this restaurant. Great Meat & Chicken! I especially love their chopped Chef's Salad. We eat here probably once every other month.

Been wanting to try their food for sometime, pass the Naples Rib place everyday ... So with the Newport Beach Rib Company right down the street had to try it. Ordered the combo appetizer and buffalo wings first. Celery was like spaghetti ... Rubbery. Advised server of problem and showed her the rubber celery ... She just brushed it off... More

I have been here twice, once with my boyfriend on a date and also on a double date with another couple. I am from Denver and have been looking for a good barbecue place and this is it! The cornbread is good. The "onion brick" appetizer is amazing! The tri-tip sliders are my favorite thing to get and are to... More

Huge portions galore! Starting with the fresh baked cornbread & sweet butter, self control is put to the test. 1/2 onion brick was enough of an appetizer for my family. Housemade bbq sauce was a great compliment to the 'brick'. Prime rib was sooo tasty... Tri tip sandwiches were amaaazing... steak salad was ok... So stuffed we had leftovers for... More

Dinner here last night. Ordered the ribs and prime rib combo. Was supposed to be 6 bones of ribs and a 6oz prime rib. What I got was 8 awesome bones and a slab of prime rib that pretty much dropped me when I was done. The prime rib was cooked perfectly as I like it medium. The ribs fell... More

Went hungry and still couldn't finish all the food. Our Baby Back Ribs came with coleslaw, delicious corn bread, potatoes, corn on the cob. Sides vary based on preference. Everything was well prepared, very tasty. We even had leftovers for lunch the next day. The restaurant is large with a separate party room, and bar area. Wait staff was attentive... More

While looking for a casual dining spot, we opted for a good rib dinner. Since this place has been in business for some time, we decided to try it. What a great choice! You can get ribs, steak, fish or ???. The portions were large. If you like fried mozzarella sticks, these are great - and large. The ribs were... More
