I do not eat meat but most steakhouses grill up wonderful salmon for those of us who prefer to not eat their main menu item. Even the mainstream steakhouse chains can grill up a good salmon. These guys can't. I asked for "well done" and it came back barely cooked. I sent it back and 10 minutes later they brought... More

Went for a birthday dinner. What a treat. Tender, flavorful steaks. Seats need new cushions. Attentive staff.

The service is great but it seems they have a terrible chef on call. All steaks were too salty and we asked to change them, they were brought them back exactly the same.

Had a business dinner while in town at Mastro's for 7 people. We ordered the single level seafood tower and Calamari for appetizers. The seafood tower was huge with the largest shrimp I have ever seen. I ordered the small filet and it was the most tender and flavorful steak I have ever eaten. The Mac and cheese was the... More

Four of us went for dinner. We sat in the lounge/bar area and listened to a two band band that were absolutely excellent! The service was excellent and the food came very fast, in fact almost too fast! Steaks were perfectly cooked and very tasty. The Wagyu cut my friend had was better than CUT in Vegas, which was our... We held a business dinner and it couldn't have been any better. The service was excellent as well as the food. A bit expensive.

Good steaks. We usually order a large one to share. Passable seafood, but the crab legs were disappointing.. The Lobster Mash Potatoes was just okay. The gnocchi with crab and truffles was also just okay. Both are about $35 each. We probably will not order them again. Corkage has been increased to $35. The standout, as usual, is the butter... Always a great experience; food, service, overall ambiance.....better than Mortons, Ruth Chris, and Capital Grill. Highly recommend this location and Laguna as well.

Finally made it to Mastro's! There are two within a 4 mile radius....so we chose the Costa Mesa location since we were going to a movie first. I see no point in making a reservation if you have to wait 40 minutes with one. They put us in the bar to wait, and the music was so loud where they... More
