Always a great experience; food, service, overall ambiance.....better than Mortons, Ruth Chris, and Capital Grill. Highly recommend this location and Laguna as well.

Finally made it to Mastro's! There are two within a 4 mile radius....so we chose the Costa Mesa location since we were going to a movie first. I see no point in making a reservation if you have to wait 40 minutes with one. They put us in the bar to wait, and the music was so loud where they... More

Terrific meal- tender steak, yummy Lobster Bisque, good sides. However the restaurant is very dark - in order to read the wine list we needed a flashlight. Check your bank balance before you go - very expensive.

We had a 915 reservation and did not get seated until 940. The cars were great to look at in the parking lot. The older woman that seated us was not fluid in English. Kevin was our waiter. He asked what kind of water we wanted announced we would be getting bread left. We got bread no water. After about... More

We decided to splurge and come to Mastro's for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was an interesting experience. In our party of 4, we ordered starters: French onion soup, lobster bisque, Caesar salad. Delicious, all around! One glass of Merlot ($19!) and one fantastic lemondrop martini, yum! Two of us ordered steaks for dinner. Perfectly prepared... More

We have been here over 100 times over the last 5 years. Simply the best service and best food we have ever had. The Costa Mesa bar is like a scene from Cheers every weekend. We look forward to our weekly visits.

Haven't been back since my husband proposed 5 years ago. Was celebrating another milestone. Our waitress was very charming and genuinely happy to help us celebrate. Knew menu inside and out. I had a shrimp cocktail which was excellent. Lobster mash as usual the most decadent side for our steaks. I had a bone in filet. Done perfectly. Let the... More
