Always a delight

We recently dined at Mastros for an early Valentine's Day celebration. Everything ordered from my crab cocktail, chilean seabass and delicious side dishes was outstanding. Because I had not been feeling particularly well, we decided to take our meals home and enjoy them the next evening. We were... read more

This restaurant is very full of glamour and perfect for a special night out! The devour is reminiscent of a dark New York supper club. There is a full cocktail bar and the steaks and seafood are divine. It's perfect for a birthday or other special occasion.

I have dined at Mastro's restaurants in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for years, but have never had the opportunity to dine at the Costa Mesa location until now. We had made a reservation but were running behind by a few minutes, and half our party was stuck in traffic coming from San Diego. When we arrived, I informed the hostess of... More

In the US this restaurant is defined as upscale fine dining . It's quite an appropriate definition as the service here at Mastro's is exemplary , the wine list is extensive, the steaks are well aged and cooked to perfection and the prices are commensurate with that touch of luxury . On an expense account you'll love it , on... More

Delicious food, classy environment, good service. The downside is the noise as it's always crowded being in the middle of corporate office buildings and most famous shopping mall in Orange County. Also EXPENSIVE for us!

Great steaks as always, pricy but prob. worth the treat. This and Ruth C are my spots for a fab dose of red meat. Will be full on the weekends, so plan accordingly.

I have been to Mastro's in Costa Mesa about 6 times over the last few years. I don't get there as much as I would like. Baked macaroni and a chard medium rare filet, I'm one happy guy! Love this place!

Our family had Christmas Eve dinner here after attending A Christmas Carol at South Coast Rep. The guys had steaks that they are still raving about. Crab cakes and lobster mashed potatoes are the best in Orange County.

Mastro's has great steaks. Consistent quality meat, excellent sides, quality service. Big time expensive. Best to go on someone else's time or an expense account !!!
