We got into Newport around 6:30 and the hotel recommended Scott's. The hotel made a reservation for us at 8:15 (our request). The first clue should have been the parking lot was not full and valet was not busy (Friday night). The food was mediocre and price point was high for the food. Service was ok, but it was obvious... This place is a bit expensive, but has great food and wine. Good location, if you go the Segerstrom.

I have been to this restaurant several times and I have never had a bad meal or bad service. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the food is excellent no matter what you order.

I went to Scott's in Costa Mesa, we picked this location as we it now boasts steak on its menu and now everyone is our party wanted seafood. The updates to the menu since I went there about a year ago were terrific. The wine selection is a little pricey so I would advise you to have your first glass... More

Once you've tasted Scott's spicy provencal calamari, you'll return for more. We loved that there was no batter on the calamari and the spicyness was perfectly prepared to our liking.

Very pricey and I got some bad seafood one time here. Service is OK, I am surprised that this place is still open, there are many other options in OC.

The service at Scott's is great and everyone is attentive and friendly - from the the moment you arrive, everyone is ready and willing to assist. I really wanted to say positive things about the food, but my experience was mediocre at best. I started with the Asian Pear Salad, which was decent, but nothing that was memorable or unique.... This is a lovely place for either a business dinner or a dinner with friends. Elegant room, attentive service, and really terrific seafood. A "Provencale" calimari app had a terrific sauce, and the shrimp cakes and Peruvian cervice were also fresh and bright-tasting. Entrees included swordfish with a light lobster sauce, and a colleague had lamb chops with a chimichurri... More
