On my way home from visiting in Newport Beach, we wanted a yummy Sunday brunch. Two dogs on a warm day limited our choices. Conveniently, Plums is tucked away in a shopping area close to the 405. We had to wait a bit - but always fun to watch the Orange County crowd :) Seated on the patio, the dogs... More

We had to wait outside basically in the parking lot for about an hour just to be seated in an area under construction on a table that barely had enough room for our food. No complaints about the staff, they are helpful, but the food has no flavor. They even found a way to take the flavor out of bacon,... More

We used to enjoy Plum's often. They keep taking items off their menus we enjoy. Now nothing much we like for dinner. Service is not as good as it used to be either. Was our neighborhood 'go to' spot.

Food was fantastic. Alderwood Smoked Salmon had a variety of flavours, none too strong; the smoked salmon itself was flakey yet moist. Upon arrival on Sunday morning there appeared to be a massive queue (or rather, throng of people), but we were seated within 15-20 minutes.

Second time at this restaurant in Costa Mesa. First time was probably better than the second time. The Dutch Baby is the one dish that got me to try this place, but it's the Willamette Valley Hazelnut Pancakes that got me to go the second time. For 3 small pancakes for $14, I would expect something out of the extraordinary.... More

Our daughter is a student a UC Irvine and lives in the Newport Beach area with a house full of students and likes to go to Plums for breakfast. During our last visit with her she took us to one of her favorite places - Plums. The eggs Benedict was perfect. The pancakes were also tasty and moist. It's a... More

I went yesterday and everything was perfect. So we went back today..aweful! It took so long to get our food that by the time it came out everybody that had come after us had already ate. No real apologies not even from manager. We asked for ketchup and guess what..I'm still waiting. Food is good so it's worth a try... More

First know that there was 8 of us for Breakfast. I think our bill came to $160.00 with one cocktail. VERY PRICEY FOR BREAKFAST. I thought the place was just OK/average. The food was good, service was good, but was missing something. Maybe the fact that it's in a strip mall and charging so much for breakfast. I just don't... More

We have gone here a few times now and I have had the same experience every time. The food is good and very interesting (where else can you have sand dabs for dinner?). However, the servers are very slow and forget to bring things and the chefs are very slow. The last time we went, the restaurant was about 1/3... More

We were visiting the area and looking for a good brunch before leaving town. Plum's was highly recommended online, so we decided to check it out. It is obviously a popular spot. There was a sizeable wait the entire time that we were there. The food was really delicious. There was an even amount of savory and sweet choices. We... More
