Went here with two friends for breakfast after a workout session. We only had to wait about 15 minutes and got a seat outside. It was a beautiful day and seating was covered so not directly in the sun - perfect. Great selection to choose from. I went with the with the wrap and it was delicious. Service was prompt... More

I’ve lived most of my life in the South Bay, and had never heard of Plums Café until my girlfriend took me there for brunch. The restaurant is located in the corner of a strip mall, which was pretty busy and had little free parking when we were there. My girlfriend parked clear across the other side of the property... Why has it taken me so long to make it to Plum's?!?! I kept hearing amazing things about this place and my friend took me for my birthday for breakfast. I'm hooked. We got here around 9:30 which was perfect timing as there was no wait. When we left one hour later, the wait was long and the restaurant inside... More

Went here for breakfast while staying at a beach house in Newport. We all loved the breakfast and the service was good overall. I had the Campfire Trout breakfast (perfectly prepared panfried cormeal trout, eggs, amazing bacon, potatoes, and delicious 9 grain toast). My two younger kids had the Dutch Baby pancake (well worth the wait) and my oldest had... More

On my way home from visiting in Newport Beach, we wanted a yummy Sunday brunch. Two dogs on a warm day limited our choices. Conveniently, Plums is tucked away in a shopping area close to the 405. We had to wait a bit - but always fun to watch the Orange County crowd :) Seated on the patio, the dogs... More

We had to wait outside basically in the parking lot for about an hour just to be seated in an area under construction on a table that barely had enough room for our food. No complaints about the staff, they are helpful, but the food has no flavor. They even found a way to take the flavor out of bacon,... More

We used to enjoy Plum's often. They keep taking items off their menus we enjoy. Now nothing much we like for dinner. Service is not as good as it used to be either. Was our neighborhood 'go to' spot.

Food was fantastic. Alderwood Smoked Salmon had a variety of flavours, none too strong; the smoked salmon itself was flakey yet moist. Upon arrival on Sunday morning there appeared to be a massive queue (or rather, throng of people), but we were seated within 15-20 minutes.

Second time at this restaurant in Costa Mesa. First time was probably better than the second time. The Dutch Baby is the one dish that got me to try this place, but it's the Willamette Valley Hazelnut Pancakes that got me to go the second time. For 3 small pancakes for $14, I would expect something out of the extraordinary.... More

Our daughter is a student a UC Irvine and lives in the Newport Beach area with a house full of students and likes to go to Plums for breakfast. During our last visit with her she took us to one of her favorite places - Plums. The eggs Benedict was perfect. The pancakes were also tasty and moist. It's a... More
