Breakfast is the best!

! loved the crab omelet with a side of potatoes. The asparagus was perfect. Generous portions. Our waitress was amazing-she was fun and she remembered our daughter from a previous visit. Had a bite of the French toast and will definitely order next time.

An unplanned day landed me in this neighborhood while very hungry, A yelp search pointed me toward Plums Cafe. The happy crowd eating on the patio encouraged me to wait for a table, and the meal inside was a pleasure on every level. Had the eggs benedict with avocado. Highly recommended. The mimosa was fresh and potent. Can't wait to... More

It's obvious that this place is undergoing a renovation and I must admit it has the nicest public bathroom I've ever seen. However, the food is why we came and it was worth it. I had the coconut crusted French toast with strawberries, banana and papaya. The toast was crispy and the fruit very fresh. There were so many luscious... More

Went on a Sunday morning so there was a wait. Well worth it though. I had the Hazelnut Pancakes with berry compote--delicious. Side of their peppery bacon and delicious coffee topped off a great meal.

This is one of three wonderful places to have breakfast in Newport/Costa Mesa, the other two being Eat Chow on 18th and Haute Cafe, on 17th Street. Plums is white tablecloth, heavy silverware fabulous, creative food. Haute Cafe has a young vibe, great coffee, good food; it's a order in line and they'll bring the food to you outside (or... More

If you love a breakfast with top notch food, this is the place. The thickly cut real bacon is great. The pancakes with berry compote and hazlenuts is wonderful and even the coffee is delicious. There can be a wait for a table on weekends but it is well worth it.

I have been going to eat brunch at Plums Cafe during visits to the area for about six years now, and I have never once had a bad experience. Their breakfast food is some of the best I've ever had, and it never disappoints. The wait can be long on weekends if you don't go early or make reservations, but... More

We stopped in here on our last day in California. Don't be scared to eat at shopping center based restaurants here! They are amazing. We had the eggs Benedict and Trailblazer Wrap which was STUFFED with Charizo, black beans, rice, avocado and a plethora of seasonings. The juice was fresh squeezed and the coffee cup never got low. We loved... More
