Busy busy

This restaurant was very busy for a Wednesday night, our wait time to be seated was 30 min. Once we were in, service was quick and our server was on his game. We picked the buy one take one home lasagna and the chicken Marsala...both were great dishes and I even had lunch to share with my friends... read more

Big birthday party for our niece...entree's were pretty good, service was lacking a bit with water service, bread/olive oil/balsamic vinegar....bread was brought out but no balsamic .... Had to ask... calamari was good, stuffed mushrooms were good...main course was lacking...dessert was good...chicken parmesan dish bland...too expensive.

We waited about 45 min for a table but had a drink in the bar meanwhile. We ordered a pitcher of sangria which was really good and refreshing. We moved to our table and had some appetizers, fried zuchinni is really good. Orders are big so we decided on the small orders, pasta is great, the salmon was awesome. No... More

I'm from NY and I'm used to really good, authentic Italian food so my boyfriend and I went here for dinner. There were tons of families there but we never really felt overwhelmed by it. I had a salmon dish and he had veal, both meals were very good, but also pricey. So if you're looking for a low-cost dinner... More

Great food and great service. Only complaint was the hostess told us it would be an 1 hr 15 minute wait. We went over to Karl Strauss and figured we would be gone for 45 minutes or so. We got a text that our table was ready 30 min after putting our name in. Made it a little inconvenient to... More

Delicious with wide variety menu. I like the offer of eat one and take another home free of charge. Service is prompt . Spaghetti bolognese is WOW and the secret is in the sauce. Highly recommended.

We used to love this place. Would come once or twice a month. Usually, we would get together with at least 4 of us and have the family dinners, which were a really good deal, too. However, over the past 2 or 3 years, the quality of the food has declined significantly. In addition, they stopped making some of their... More

The place is very busy with long waits for a table. Be sure that you MAKE A RESERVATION!!! The staff is sometimes too overloaded with tables to pay the kind of attention you might enjoy. In other words, I had to "wave" our waitress down to get a refill on a soda. But if you are looking for decent food,... More

The restaurant is in a free standing building at the north end of the South Coast Plaza shopping center. It has traditional red and white checked table cloths, with a white cover. The menu is traditional Italian fare. I don't know if it was a limited time thing or a day of the week thing, but we got one entree... More

My Wife and I had a great meal at. Magicians last evening. Service was very good. This was some of the best Italian food we have ever eaten. There was so much food we are taking enough home for a second dinner.
